  1. I also agree with Metro . Three LaScala's across the front would be awesome . Most mismatched systems suffer in my opinion But I did hear a system with LaScala fronts , A KLF-C7 center , Cornwall rears , and 2 KW-120 subs and it sounded great. So if you can't do a LaScala center my second choice would be a KLF-C7 . You might also consider an Academy center.
  2. I don't know for sure but they need more power than any other Klipsch product I've owned and quite a bit more. Opusk has owned just about everything twice over , so when he says they are a little more power hungry I would believe him !
  3. I own the KL-650's ,5 total for front and rear along with KS-525 sides and 2 KW-120 subs . I can tell you that for Movies they are phenomenal and short of Pro Gear they are the best I have heard especially considering the foot print and flexibility. I run everything but the subs of off 2 Emotiva XPA-5's . I highly recommend matching the whole system instead of inserting random speakers. Since you mainly run movies I would lean this direction, if you were to be using them more for split duty I would start leaning more towards the 7's. I think the general consensus would be that the 7's are better for music and the THX Ultra II system is better for Movies unless your room starts getting too big then the 7's will cover it better. Hope this helps.
  4. Grace Potter Ann Wilson Christina Aguilera If you can find the VH-1 Divas clip with Grace Potter doing Crazy On You with Ann and Nancy Wilson. It's awesome. I've seen Grace live twice in the last 6 months she is amazing !
  5. I've used JRiver for years . It's amazing the things you can use it for ! You can even use it as a crossover. I love it but there always seems to be a few issues. Still highly recommend it.
  6. John Scott played for my Blackhawks for a while. I always thought he had a great personality ! If you watch some of his fights (and he Can fight ) He is usually classy enough to let his opponents go ,once he realizes they are beaten. I think the fact that the superstars welcomed him with open arms shows the kind of character he has.
  7. That guy drove me crazy for years Since he is local to me , any time there was good deal on Klipsch speakers he had them home before I knew they were for sale . Met him at the first Chicago area GTG at Lemon strings. Gave him a piece of my mind and then thanked him for saving me a small fortune. Great Guy ! even told me how he beat me to all those sales.
  8. They are also more grateful than most kids and always happy to see you
  9. I Love the KG 5.5 's The bass is impressive and as twk123 mentioned they can melt your face
  10. Bought 2 XPA-5's love them. 3 years in I lost 1 channel on one of them. Emotiva promptly fixed it (Great service) and that was the only issue in the 7 years I've had them.
  11. REO Speed Wagon is an Oldsmobile! Roger Kind of Where did the band get its name? From a flatbed truck, first built in the early 1900's. It was very high-speed and heavy-duty for its day, and was considered a milestone in the history of transportation. It was sometimes outfitted as a fire engine. The letters REO are the initials of Ransom Eli Olds, who went on to create the Oldsmobile.
  12. Congrats on the pending sale. Way to jump into the MCM club with both feet !
  13. Opusk2k9 quoted me and I have to tell you I meant every word . That amp is fantastic ! If I had the money right now and wasn't up in North Dakota on a project for the next 4 months minimum (yes it was snowing here this morning ) I would snag this in a heartbeat ! Jim's a good guy so I hope it sells but I wouldn't mind if it was still available when I get back
  14. Pretty much one that reaches
  15. I am a huge fan of Samsung and I see on average a half dozen TV's a day. But for the money TCL a brand that can be purchased at Sam's is hard to beat. I have purchased 4 of them over the last 3 years , one this weekend at Sams ,it was a 40" with Roku for $328 my oldest one is 3 years old and going strong. I researched the brand as I had never heard of them and they come from China, are the 3rd largest manufacturer of TV's, and produce some brands you would recognize. I have had several compliments on how good a picture they have but if you put one next to say a Samsung which cost's several times more ........Well they lose
  16. I agree. I have the KG 5.5 with Crites titanium tweeters and love them. The only thing about the 5.5 is its extremely difficult to find a center channel to match them for HT application. Phantom sounds good but if you are off axis it takes away from the effect. Suprisingly the best matching center that I found for KG 5.5's .Was a Boston VR-12. My daughter is still running that same front end and if I had to go back to that setup and I would still be very happy !

    MCM's

Have you heard those? Curious as to how they compare ?

    MCM's

No doubt. The KP-250's and bass bins along with my current patio rig have already accounted for 2 police visits to the house. I can't imagine what kind of trouble I'd get into with these. I WANT THEM! You Deserve Them !
