  1. I got my splits and THTLP paired at work. Sounds pretty sweet. I need more separation but don't know how I'm going to achieve it; no room. I got permission from the CEO to bring the stuff in the first place and permission from a VP to use his office to stash it.
  2. Swap the speakers and see if it stays with the speaker.
  3. I told my psychiatrist I was hearing voices and he said, “You don’t have a psychiatrist“.
  4. Good stuff. It will do those things. There are other threads here you can search for that tell a lot about it.
  5. No. My joke isn’t all that good, sorry.
  6. To spare us from debating if there is a phase difference when mounted top down or bottom up.
  7. This is correct. Here is a factory pie from 1968:
  8. I wanted to “like” this post but somehow it seems inappropriate.
  9. I just built a THTLP to match with my splits. I'll post a build thread soon.
  10. So 1973, I think. @wvu80 has a database of prices...
  11. Well, the colors all over are like my 1968 models (see my profile and click on the background picture at the top), but your mid driver is different. You also have square magnet tweeters, and the wiring is not factory. The crossovers are later, too, as @Budman said. What are the serial numbers? Don't let the age scare you away. What's the asking price?
  12. I used to swear that Meathead Goldwyn & Dr. Greg Blonder (look ‘em up) said that or something similar, but I was wrong... https://amazingribs.com/more-technique-and-science/grill-and-smoker-setup-and-firing/what-you-need-know-about-wood-smoke-and That’s a great article and they know their food science. That said, I smoke first. Seems like it ought to work better in my thick head.
  13. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/d/high-ridge-onix-h34-tube-integrated/6827153338.html Asking $700 on Craigslist. Not affiliated, but I am a few miles away from seller.
  14. I can send you one, Jim. PM me if you still need it.
  15. Please don’t try this, Bob. It is far too dangerous and we need you around. I once twisted up some bread ties into a calculated geometry and put them in the microwave. They caught fire and I vowed right then and there never to put a microwave near my Klipschorns. Heck, I won’t even take microwave popcorn near them.
  16. Yeah and Hendrix wanted off of that tour fast. He said the audience was full of moms and preteen daughters and none of them were having a good time. Seven shows. A story was invented that the Daughters of the American Revolution wanted him off. No truth to it. It did let him gracefully exit, though.
  17. I’m a volunteer math and science tutor for kids from 6th grade through high school. Sometimes they are loaded up with an insane amount of work and sometimes they claim to have only 1 or 2 problems.
  18. I do. At least they claim to be. BTW I’m using “they” to avoid potentially identifying a person. In my opinion, in their case, I believe they are gay and in denial. To be clear, I’m fine with whatever; it isn’t my life.
  19. Update on the DQM-9 saga. They are actually in really decent shape. No foam rot on the mids. Woofers are dusty but nice. Stands have problems but can be fixed.
