Islander
Man, that's really sad. Lou Reed was far more important and influential than his record sales ever suggested. We've lost another good one.
Don Richard
Sad to hear that. His live performances in the 70s were something to see.
Rich_Guy
Wow that really made me sad. RIP Lou you will be missed. This is one of my favorites, Lou Reed recorded live in Los Angeles for a local radio station in 2003. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbU2AwNV0is Edited October 27, 2013 by Rich_Guy

Rich_Guy
This one hurts a lot. Wherever you are Lou, let's hope the colored girls are singing... In the last part of a nice tribute she made to Lou Reed Whoopi Goldberg posted "This colored girl is still singing Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo"
Islander
This obituary is quite informative, both about Lou and about the Velvet Underground: http://www.japantoday.com/category/entertainment/view/lou-reed-iconic-punk-poet-dead-at-
thebes
If you don't have it already get "Walk on the Wild Side" on vinyl, not cd or download. When the ladies sing you will experience one of the best stereo effects I know. Particularly the second chorus where the girls seem to walk right out of the speaker and right up to you. Tres cool.
