Hi Fido.

What was/were the camera/s used for that shots, rented or yours? Clearly a teem work, to my non-pro eyes it looks that additional lighting was used to get these photos look so good.

Hi Parlophone,

Thanks for the kind words.

I shot all of these pictures with one of my many Canon cameras. I was a pro photographer for many years and own all of my high end camera bodies and numerous Canon pro lenses. Each of the photos I have posted here were shot in natural light with the sun and various reflectors and my eyes. See the light be the light.

I’ve said it before:  sometimes we really do need a WoW! Emoji.   Very nice work.  Were you working at a magazine, or did you work freelance?

. I worked freelance but over the years also shot for a couple of nationally distributed magazines. Old School Rods and Car Culture Deluxe to name a couple. I shot a lot of vintage pinup and a lot of the top glam models for many years. I was the personal photographer for Hugh Hefners wife for a number of years and worked with a number of the top Playmates and adult film star actresses.

So, did you ever fake a sick day or grumble about having to drag yourself in to work?

”Oh crap, another dreary day wasted with scantily clad supermodels and hot porn stars - I need to get out of this rut.”

I actually got very bored shooting glamor and preferred shooting fitness  or swimwear models over all the sex sex sex. Anything you have to do every day can get monotonous.

I dreaded having to drive to the Playboy Mansion to shoot even though I loved working with Crystal.

Poor baby. Orange Co. to LA traffic sucks.   🎻 the worlds smallest violin playing just for you.

I don’t feel sorry for myself it just was a job and although it had its perks that commute wasn’t a positive part of the experience.

With all due respect to @thebes, I think you’ve become my newest hero bonvivant-wise.  I must say that I admire your work and not because of the subject matter.

Hugh sure did prefer the blonde girl next door (that didn't really live next door to anybody we ever met) look, didn't he?  Although those are all beautiful women, I could see you wishing he would change up the shooting menu now and then.

Did Hugh always wear silk PJs, or did he switch to flannel in the winter months?  Not that I really care about another man's choice in sleepwear, but silk would be chilly on a Chicago February morning, wouldn't it?

Great shots, BTW.  Not all pretty girls are good models, but you capture them looking their very best.

thank you very much.photography is just one of my many passions. Its more than great camera gear and great lighting - its about making people feel good about themselvesl - their best - the great energy  you create together -

I find I can see the beauty in nature and thats the direction I take my work currently but who know where this journey will take me.

yes Hef loved his blondes and he definitely had a type. I have no clue what he wore to bed lol. also - he moved from Chicago many years ago - living in sunny Beverly Hills still has chilly mornings but nothing like those Chicago minus 10 degree mornings.

Looks interesting ^^^^^^^    :)   Rear wheel on the rail and the front off or is it on the rail?  Ya got the shortest distance to wherever you're going on the tracks! So many bike trails run the rails.  Looks like a nice beefy ride right there.  Won't be long and you'll be airing up the tires!  :)
