DizRotus
EDIT: 12/07/15 at 08:16 At the impassioned request of wvu80, the title was changed back to the original Freudian slip. I'd like to take credit for an intentionally clever pun, but that would be a lie. The typo was the result of fat fingers on an iPad. MSU beats Michigan again. Both teams played well. The officiating was horrible, but equally so. I'm not sure either team is great, but then who is? Ohio State has not yet convinced me that they're #1. EDIT: 10/18/15 This thread is now immunized against hi-jacking. Any college football posts are encouraged. EDIT: 11/22/15 Given the results of 11/21/15, I predict the following: Clemson; Alabama; B1G winner (unless Michigan); and Notre Dame. Ceptorman
Indiana takes OSU to the last play of the game a few weeks ago, and blow a 25 point lead today to Rutgers
wvu80
My beloved Mountaineers got blown out by Baylor today by 30, which is about what I expected. We held them to their regular season scoring average, which unfortunately for us is 65 points per game. But if you're a Michigan fan (sorry JimJimbo) I am not going anywhere NEAR ESPN for the next couple of days, because you would be sick to your stomach watching the Play of the Day over-and-over-and-over for the rest of the night. The Michigan punter fumbled which led into a 38 yard return for a touchdown by the Michigan State defense with no time left on the clock, winning the game. WHY didn't Michigan simply snap the ball and run it on 4th down, which would have left MS with one play left from midfield to win the game? I blame the coach. JL Sargent
Almost as bad as that kick6 play Auburn had against Alabama that ESPN played for days.

Coytee
That ending was out of this world. Even though I didn't go there (I went to Miami of Ohio), I'm rooting for Ohio State. Am also a lifelong fan of the Bengals and toughed it out during their lost decade. What a treat it is so see them doing well now. Side comment....because of the lost decade, I am still hesitant to expose myself emotionally to their current winning streak. They have pulled a "Michigan" so many times in the past (lost the game in the last 2-3 minutes) that those wounds are still there. It would be kind of nice to be 16 years old and discovering them AFTER the lost decade so the excitement could be taken to heart and without caution. (the old "burn me once, shame on you, burn me for 10 years, shame on me!)
wvu80
Side comment....because of the lost decade, I am still hesitant to expose myself emotionally to their current winning streak. The season is not over, but the Bengals offense is clicking and Andy Dalton right now is looking like the league MVP.
The Dude
I blame the coach Well if Michigan fans are like Nebraska fans, they will want him fired. Nothing worse than being beaten by the last play of the game...what an ending. That seems to be the trend here at Nebraska.

Agreed...but there has been so many times of being burned (over the lost decade) that all the excitement is still met with some reservation. That's a bit unfortunate. Still.... 6-0 going into their off bye week, who would have thunk it.
Don Richard
LSU is looking good, with Heisman candidate Leonard Fournette getting only 197 rushing yards against the stiff run defense of Florida yesterday. Undefeated in the SEC and likely to remain so.
oldtimer
Meanwhile TCU keeps winning their way out of the top five. Why does Utah get three winning against no ranked and TCU is dropped to four winning by more against no ranked. Sure they are hurting on defense, but remember the Seminoles staying number one while barely beating high school teams.
DizRotus
At this point, there is no clearly dominant team. The rankings are all but meaningless. Stay unbeaten and win your Power 5 conference championship and you should be in. Lose, or win poorly, and you could be displaced by an undefeated independent team or possibly a one loss Power 5 team with better wins against better opponents. oldtimer
The rankings are not exactly meaningless because they set the basis for the more meaningful ones down the road.
