jimjimbo
I just saw a picture of someone who wraps his tubes in a copper mesh screen to keep down on the hum the tubes throw off.He then wraps a metal type twist tie around them. I thought it was the iron that hummed. I've always enjoyed hummers, but, that's just me.....

richieb
I've ordered the 10 pack to cost average the improvements in sound I'm soon to hear. My sonic bliss will cost less than yours. I plan to go high-rise with mine, varying the stack per tube to "fine tune" the L-R balance for each recording. Yeah, I'm in. sunnysal
I have used these pearl tube coolers on my rig for years, I thought that by aiding heat dissipation I might increase tube life a bit...not sure they help, but they dont seem to hurt...warm regards, tony

cincymat
Wow, just Wow. Did anyone else look through the rest of the website? My favorite quote, "Magic Tubes are small glass tubes, about 4-5cm long and 6mm diameter. They contain a mysterious mixture of black and white powder." I'm speechless.... moray james
this is the picture of it.tube warmer.jpg grounding that screen might be helpful. some mu metal or soft iron foil (wrapped around the tube) would make a decent magnetic screen. I used to help Bill Perkins building those.
