Right after we got married 38 years ago we went to a Peter Tosh concert in a small building that only held about 150 people, great show. When the place got full they locked the doors. The band came out a back door right by the stage followed by a cloud, they came out and started putting spliffs on the amps, on the organ, everywhere there was a flat spot. the would light it up pass it through the band and into the audience, nonstop for a couple hours, great show.

Been loving reggae for a long time now, and going to Jamaica only made me love it more.

One of the songs was from his album that came out in 1976 a couple years before we seen him, he was a little ahead of his time, it's now legal in Jamaica.

Had the lp at one time, called Bush Doctor.

"lyrics hebush Doctor
Warning!
Warning! The Surgeon General warns
Cigarette smoking is dangerous, dangerous
Hazard to your health
Does that mean anything to you
To legalize marijuana
Right here in Jamaica
I'm say it cure glaucoma
I man a de Bush Doctor
So there'll be
No more smokin and feelin tense
When I see them a come
I don't have to jump no fence
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
Only cure for asthma
I man a de Minister(of the Herb)
So there'll be no more
Police brutality
No more disrespect
For humanity
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
It can build up your failing economy
Eliminate the slavish mentality
There'll be no more
Illegal humiliation
And no more police
Interrogation
Legalize marijuana
Down here in sweet Jamaica
Only cure for glaucoma
I man a de Bush Doctor
So there be
No more need to smoke and hide
When you know you're takin
Illegal ride
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
It the only cure for glaucoma
I man a de Minister

Just curious, how many people on this thread live in a state where MJ is legal?

Not legal here but decriminalized, 30 grams or less is a  misdemeanor and a $250 ticket.

I hear the stuff is bad for you ?

Legal here in California. I use it everyday...well, every night. I have four herniated disks, arthritis in my hip & neck -- have lived in pain for many years now. After my accident (i was ran over by a truck while i was walking across a major street) i was taking Vicodin and Motrin, and my stomach started bleeding.  I generally wake up six or more times per night, many nights i wake up every hour. Long story short, the stuff helps me sleep and is far less harmful to me than the hard narcotics that the doctor was offering. Plus, it’s relaxing and puts me in a good mood -- so there’s the icing on the cake.

I did NOT use it at all while my kids were still living with me.

Medical just passed here, they still trying to work out the details. I will never sign up because if you do , you will lose your 2nd amendment rights. So I can buy all the alcohol I want a still have a carry permit, but pot is a no no???

I heard it was the manufacturing medical marijuana portion of the law that passed, not the sale. Is that correct?

I don't concern myself with such things.

I have declared my back yard a free state and I'm currently filing the proper paper work with myself to authorize me to do what I want out there.

As long as there are no customs to clear I'll come visit.  BTW can I keep my diplomatic immunity?

Previous immigrants are still on the books and are welcomed following a brief interview and back pack inspection; no slushy, no entry

That's why at the very least medical should be legal in every state.
