how many here can successfully perform open heart surgery?

True story.  At about 14 (c. 1962), I put a frog under with ether (liberated from science lab at school...different times!) and opened its chest with a scalpel.  I applied a current from a Lionel train controller directly to the heart and it started beating again.  Not for long, but it did.  This was well before defibrillators.  Of course, I'd heard about galvanic response in class, and simply took this as the same thing.  No clue as to the significance of what I'd done until much later.
