Wolfbane
Are we allowed to post odds on this staying satirical. I wouldn't take that bet. I give 100 to 1 that whoever wins ~49% of those who voted won't be happy on election day.
Zen Traveler
I have no issue leaving this thread open as a satirical thread only. So political satire is okay? When does it cross the line?

JJkizak
All of the really gifted candidates (none right now) realize that their hands would be tied as President and they are just lurking about like Ringo Starr. JJK
staygroovybaby
Guys, lets take a breath for a moment and be serious about our new upcoming president. I personally want an intelligent but down to earth president. One who is not easily excited or makes rash decisions. So after much thought and deliberation, my choice has come down to 2 candidates. I may be going out on a limb here, however I feel either choice would be a better pick than what we currently have to choose from. # 1 pick is Arnold Ziffel, from green acres. He was able to solve many perplexing problems on that show, ( one damn smart pig). #2 Mr Haney, same show. That man could wheel and deal with the best of them. Arnold will just pack the legislative agenda with more pork. Mr. Haney has nothing compared to the guy who knows 'the art of the deal' best. That being Don King. Bella
Satire is a useful exercise for the mind. At this point in time I think we require the skills of a demolition expert. Osama Bin Laden. Edited March 17, 2016 by Bella

Ok now you have me rethinking my choices. I now may change my mind. Did I say change my mind so quickly, HMMMM maybe I could run. I mean changing your mind and political promises so quick, isn't that qualifications for becoming leader & chief of this country
Zen Traveler
Satire is a useful exercise for the mind. At this point in time I think we require the skills of a demolition expert. Osama Bin Laden. Ironically I just made a similar point in another thread where it was an ISIS sympathizer who was wanting that kind of leader 'over here." Zen Traveler
Seriously though. I dunno....I don't think 'entertainer' qualifies one to be POTUSA no matter how funny or rich they are.

Like Ronald the actor or Arnold the actor? Maybe Jessie the wrestler? We've had a few entertainer/politicians. What is the satire in your post or are you trying to lead us to a lock? If so, uncool.
Mallette
If this doesn't illustrate that the mods make EVERY attempt to avoid a lock, I don't know what will. Seems there are always one or more that simply insist on spoiling otherwise good threads. I don't get it. Dave
