New Stuff in! Mostly AC/DC, a little Black Sabbath und a little Saga. "To be washed queue" just got that much longer... Gonna be a nice mixture, for example: spin AC/DC, then Genesis, then Zappa ect..

Saturday is laundry day!

Tonight, my wife, a cellist, is giving a concert: The Italian Sun. She 's part of baroque ensemble Respiro.

She's always a bit nervous, but now she' s sending obscene messages to my friends.... What should I do?

First time using the gum glue method on a record that is new and although an ultrasonic clean made it sound better I feel that has manufacturing grime deep down

Will report back with results

Think member DizRotus had a formula similar that he raved about.

Neil and Dave Mallete got great results from using the apply and peel formula method akin to a face mask peel.

One of the ingredients abit unobtanium at the time.

Just a quick post to report back with gum glue record cleaning results

So far only did side one to test

First - it was easy peasy to remove the dry glue - just like my wife’s face mask

Now playing the record and I need to report that it is a success as it’s sounding as it should

So my suspicions were correct in thinking that manufacturing crud was embedded deep in the grooves

Artist - Mike Oldfield

Title - Tubular Bells

Album ID - https://www.discogs.com/release/2062394-Mike-Oldfield-Tubular-Bells

One can feel the grooves on the contact side of the glue once peeled back

Cool. Looks like a clear pool flotation device for a toddler sitting there!

I saw some black stuff inside a new LP sleeve when I had that ultrasound machine. Ran it through like the old ones.

Glad I made the habit of using that Discwasher brush before every playback. Sure it helped with the longevity of all those old 70s LPs!

Just placed the clear glue sheet on the white table and noticed the colour of it

Thinking ? so this is what was removed

That's unreal for a new album.

Looks to have been in the hands of a smoker for a while

If it was the green stuff he didn’t even share it 🤪

& I've got a couple of those Back to Black record store day records. Did not know they put that much crap into the cleaning solution. Thought it was the older ones that did it.
