I was born in the shadow of the Oakland coliseum -- if it ain't silver & black, it don't matter. it's been a day of opposing views, but even @oldtimer will agree with me one this.

can TB improve in the other positions to make them contenders?

They have some good players to go with Tom. Vegas seemed to like it. Went from 40 to 1 down to 20 to 1 for winning the SB.

If you really want to build a good team just work a trade with Houston. They're clueless as to player value and get spanked every time they're at the trade table.  Obrien is a clueless buffoon when it comes to player value.

I really wanted to see him finish out with the Patriots, but, given the concessions that he's made on contracts over the years, I can understand the move and wanting to get paid when you've watched as lesser talent has gotten massive contracts over the years while taking one for the betterment of the team.

I would rather that he retired and became an advisor or some such to NE. Surely he and Giselle don’t need more $$$. Maybe TB12 has a couple of good years left, at this point it must be about personal stats. If Tampa wins a few and contends in their division then good for them and their fans. I will stay with NE, even if the wins drop off. Go Jarrett Stidhamm!

Me too.

A few notables to mention that did stay with the same sports teams their entire careers of course their are many more.  I respect that a ton.

Darrell Green---Washington redskins

Chipper Jones---Atlanta Braves

Derek Jeter---NY Yankees

Larry Bird---Boston Celtics

Jim Kelly---Buffalo Bills(not counting Houston Gamblers in USFL)

Not sure if that means I have to start disliking three teams Rams, Patriots and now TB! Guess I will just wait and see. Apathy will probably win out in the long run for me.
