TBrennan
I had two sets of LaScalas in the 1970s and 80s; sold them when I had a fit of insanity and was infatuated with Maggies and DIY DRs using Dynaudio and Audax drivers. Well the Maggies did have better bass. So did the 8" Audaxes. That should tell ya something about LaScalas. Had a set of Cornwalls, traded them for superior Altec 605As. The fella I traded with thinks the Cornwalls are superior and uses them as monitors in his studio. Everyone is happy, especially Naftali to whom I loaned the 605s. I have a pair of Hereseys, used them until I stumbled on some Altec Boleros, now the Hereseys are in the closet, I'll give them to Naftali when I get the 605s back. That'll give him an excuse to build a subwoofer.

middlecreekguy
Geez! I never realized just how devoted most of you are to this little speaker company. As for myself: Cornwalls from `86 Pro-Media 5.1`s.......3nd set died a few weeks ago. Have not decided what to replace them with.

Ok, Ok , you're right I'm jealous. Life ain't fair (crying voice) ---------------- Marty, The cornwalls are factory finish but the heresys are just reveneered with a wipe-on poly finish if that makes you feel better. The number of speakers I own or have owned pales in comparison to some of these lists. Man oh man! We haven't even heard from some of the big guns like Indyklipsh yet! HornEd would put us all to shame.
