thebes
Yes I'm talking about our own, shoot-from-the-hip, tell-it-like-it-is, razzle-dazzle, technical magician, the one-and-only Nosvalves. Could it be he's taken orders and entered a nunnery, er I mean a monkery? Perhaps like some benevolent god he's seen the suffering and misery he's occasioned and decided to reward his worshipers by by pulling long hours to reduce the ever growing Queue of electronic tube equipment offered up for his benediction. Or it could be he's donned his white lab coat and is madly soldering in some dank and forbodding Romanian castle, madly cackling and uttering the prophetic words: "It's Alive, it's alive!!!" Observant acolytes will note that the last time he was this quiet for this long, he brought forth upon the land the soon-to-be-a-legend VRD. Could it be, could it be, perhaps just perhaps, the long awaited son-of-VRD, yes the spawn child of mad-genius-meets-bads spelling: The VD!!!! We look to the heavens and supplicate ourselves before our various gods in hope, yeah in hopes that our desires may be fulfilled.

pauln
Well, a couple of weeks back I sold him my Teac tripath which he was quite interested in hearing. Told him I looked forward to reading his review. About two weeks ago I found some trivial interconnects that came with the Teac and sent those to him (sort of as a reminder - I really want to see his review). Maybe he is still listening... You don't suppose he is developing a NOS Valves upgrade mod for the Teac do you? Pauln

LOL...LOL, that's probably what it is.
NOSValves
Thebes, Thanks for thinking of me! A quick trip to the news section of my website would of answered the mystery. Here it is 1/10/06 Thought it a good idea to let you customers that maybe wondering why the queue page is moving slowly know what is going on. My father was once again admitted into the hospital 12/30. While he is not currently in danger he is about to under go another operation to again replace his AICD which has bacterial infection. This is a very complicated operation so please keep positive thoughts for him. Thanks for your patience. The first operation has been done. They had to remove the device completely to allow the infection to clear. What really upsets me is it was found the a curgical sponge was over looked and left in with his AICD back in May that caused this problem! Now all the sudden the hospital has in the private room with super care! Wonder why.......... It looks like there going to go back in today or tomorrow to install a new AICD in the new location. Then he has to hopefully recover and get back on his feet. This will be a long process since the 8 months long infection kept him from complete recover from the last stay in the hospital. Moderators dtel's wife Posted January 16, 2006 Moderators Share Posted January 16, 2006 Prior to his heart transplant and subsequent death eight months later from lung cancer dtel's dad had a aicd installed. When undergoing tests to qualify for heart transplant he was given a clean bill of health head to toe. Strangely enough the heart transplant was very successful, however the lung cancer, which was the cause of his death, originated in the very place the aicd had been inserted? I don't know if there is a direct correlation, just seems like there could be. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. thebes
Sorry Craig, I didn't think to check your website, just assumed the Queue is always going to be long because from personal experience I know your work is well worth waiting for. Sorry also to hear your Dad's still having a very tough time of it. Liability aside at least the problem has been identified and corrective steps are being taken. I hope the procedure goes well and wish your father a speedy and full recovery. Marty
