    • Hadn't heard about this one.  Hope you have a fantastic time! (as though you won't!)
    • Hi, I'm doing a 5.1.4 for the living room theater since I'm remodeling. The person who is following me made me put the speakers in these positions that I'll put below, do you think they're okay? The circles are the ones on the ceiling. I have doubts about the ones on the rear wall.. I had drawn them on the side walls behind the sofa, instead he told me to put them like this (back wall). The front right and left are at the end of the wall.   They are all in-wall and ceiling speakers.
    • Thanks!  I was really happy with this one... it's a keeper for sure
    • Yes, it is what it is. I suppose there were some savings compared to earlier versions of SL1200, but there are also some good points. Cuing mechanism feels like cheap plastics, anti-skate wheel is not precisely executed as I would want it to be, stylus light is plastic instead of aluminum and a bit flimsy going in and out, etc. But tone-arm is reputed to be even better than before, I like all the possibilities for setting the tone-arm and flexibility. It is easier to mount the cartridge which is good when turntable need to be transported, feet look sturdy enough and are easy to high-adjust. Plan to put Ortofon 2MBlue in a couple of days and then we hear what happens 😇 I don't care much for that Lambo bling, but I like the colors and it is a limited edition, so there is a trace of exclusivity here. Lot of purists will criticize all that, but I like it. It will see some traveling around but it wont be used for DJ-ing.
    • I'll try to remember to ask about the natural cherry finish when I'm at the Pilgrimage in Hope this weekend.  It was announced on the Listening Lounge last Thursday (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcart6G-K5U) that there is a new finish coming out, American Auburn.  They didn't say if this was replacing any finish or if it is just a new standard finish.
    • Switch the tweeter between each speaker and see if the muffled sound follows the tweeter to remains with the cabinet. Pay attention to which wire connects to which terminal on the tweeter because it matters. Mark one wire and one terminal with a magic marker or tape.   What your trying to do is determine whether it's the tweeter or the crossover.   If you have a voltmeter you could also measure resistance across the tweeter's terminals after disconnecting at least one lead. Compare the two numbers and post back here.
    • Leave it to you to snag a Lambo.  Pretty spiffy looking.

    • Hi, wondering if this firmware update will also help fix my sound dropping for a second every several seconds when switching inputs. Can you upload the files for us to try? I tried updating to the one posted (date: Jan 2023 with MCU 7.0.10) but that broke bluetooth and had noise on aux and phono channels. I had to revert back to MCU 7.0.3 (via USB and files from Klipsh website).
