  1. Past hour
  2. I wonder how stable are the rpm's.
  3. I had a look at the link Don’t think I can afford it as the cost doubles in AU pesos I will stick to my 1965 TT as it has stood the test of time and beyond
  4. @ Dave1291, Is this your collection? 😁
  5. Maybe on it's way soon... https://maglevaudio.com/

  7. I am back from my trip to Newcastle NSW Australia Had a great time catching up with my drummer mate and family Time does not sit still — Wow so many changes since my last visit in 2019 (pre covid) Tonight I am spinning Artist - Emerson, Lake & Palmer Title – Pictures At An Exhibition PS- This album was recorded at Newcastle City Hall (England)
  8. 4 x 8000f's and a KV4. Al run off Adcom 200 watt per channel amps. I am about 16 feet from the center channel and the room is 22 foot wide. Listening area wide though is about 14. Got 2 more channels ready at 200 watts for the rear surrounds. So here is the problem. I was told that it should be directional. I hate that I am getting different answers. I was going to get the monopoles but most said that was a bad idea. I am getting more confused as this goes...
  9. What's with the Name Tag ya old Coot ?? Can't remember who You are ?? ,,,😀😀😀
  10. You will need an active crossover (which I think @Paducah Home Theater mentioned they are going to provide with the units). You can use the MC830s for the low end with the output going from the XO's low output into the back of the amplifiers. Of course, you then need to find 4 extra channels (a 2 channel amp for highs, another 2 channel for mids, with appropriate power).
  11. Weird. Built in halves and bolted together. Wente stated horns with large mouths became directional. Is that true?
  12. I LOVE that song! But, Van Hagar is never gonna be as good as the originals.
  13. La Scalas are doing living room duty and these don fit with the aesthetic. Free to a good home. If you want to pay for packing and shipping, I'm game.
  14. Something I haven't listened to in much too long. So glad that I took the time today.
  15. Had that 80s or 90s record. If it had been the Jackson Five up there I bet you would have stayed. Their Motown sound was fantastic!!
  16. Felt awful the last couple weeks. New Rx that makes you grow green antennae and get purple polka-dots Love the original version I grew up with, but I've heard it a thousand times. Liked this variant from that eight hour Crossroads Festival on tv years ago! Open it up in another tab ... the whole show is great!
  17. This thread made me want to hear more of my stock ST-70. So moved it into a room by itself with a pair of RF-3 II’s and using an iFi DAC have been really enjoying the sound. The ST-70 was my first tube amp and I still like it. It is running RCA 7199’s and SED EL34’s and have not heard this amp with Mullard EL34’s so there’s that. Any way hope all are enjoying their systems.
  18. Those two dog breeds are among the best on this planet! Among the most abused also. People are willful with propagating mass ignorance! Research what you're bringing home before you do it!! Chows were bred by war-lords in the feudal far east centuries ago. Genghis Khan kinda folks, to be good fighters and loyal. They will pick someone in the household to be loyal to and unless trained from younger than a month on can exhibit those bred in traits. Rottweilers are my favorite animal period. Don't get one from a rescue place when they're two years old. Like bulldogs and the aforementioned chows they are more likely to have had a bad human in their life! Lovable, obedient, protective and strong willed. Dalmatians need acres to run around, the two above need attention, plus running space. I've had all of the above for the short and long hauls!

  20. I have a pair of Klipshorns for sale in San Diego. These were my fathers speakers before his recent passing. They work perfectly and have never had an issues. There is a bit of wear on the wood in a few spots but they have always been well maintained since new. I would be happy to provide more photo's or information if needed. I can email you photos directly having issues loading them on here.
  21. 1988 Elektra reissue Exceptional sound on this Elektra reissue. Defined, rich with supreme clarity and smooth delivery. Super punchy, realistic drums you can feel and beautiful midrange tones make the guitar work really cut through. Vocals are lush and intimate and the bass is profound. I’m very impressed with the sound on this 80s reissue. Quite a stellar pressing, no flaws to speak of. I definitely recommend this pressing. Comment from Discogs so well described this pressing I had to copy it.
  22. I'd tend to agree with you @MicroMara! Sunny here and 75 today. I've been tweekin the neighbors allll day. Blowin the dust in this place out the french doors and towards 'em. Time to air this place out! Might post some later but I'm so chill I'm just sittin here lookin stupid. 😂 Sounds like work!

  25. Saw M. Jackson live in Cologne at the Müngersdorfer Stadium and left in the middle of the concert ..couldn´t stand it
  26. Do not get bookshelves with a horn and put them 3" from your head, it will suck in all kinds of different ways. Get the RP-502S II or if you want it to be the most correct for Atmos with direct radiating monopole speakers, get the RP-500SA II and run it in surround mode.
