  1. Past hour
  2. I grabbed mine used. Had Steve and the team recertify the lifetime warranty in my name, and quality check with a brand new set of tubes. The original owner also threw in a complete set of Cryotone tubes and a Decware power cord. It was a great deal. I have a UFO25 and a CSP325 on order. I'm on the 12th page of the list so I've got a while to wait. This UFO2.1 is really nice. They don't come up that often, but you have to pounce when they do.
  3. One of these days I hope to have the space to have a pair of these in my room. Been saying that for a while now, but a man can hope. Beautiful speakers, and GLWS, whatever price you settle on
  4. Thanks. They sound like they measure, undistorted.
  5. Today
  6. Just checked eBay there's a few singles on there right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/166435378175?itmmeta=01HX1JE0PWKA0M25RMGZS7YGJW&hash=item26c05253ff:g:LTgAAOSwfdFlrsAo&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwIfOox6aUWXlrWM5WHNSj5gmHJbvR40FVMJnEVuq%2BpPtEVYT%2BpEb2posJxoVVk28%2Fzz%2BzmuVOHt3waMP0BcXEwxL4nyi%2FuLlOvY%2B7YFaDz%2B4oasYGsPzlB31nPyaQTI95cmQcPywY65eiiKRCdXlNWm9Hb9tNRetzVT5IvDGgfcTfMYOBnn541XXVXAV93n5v1U2CcVV3lo9Tzu7b46SDxJ1GUVOivmjnQ3CauGwFa1aNlu18CIV9odhg%2B3DwqFqoA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8aLuLLoYw https://www.ebay.com/itm/276447602252?itmmeta=01HX1JG862YXDVV28MR9T31CBH&hash=item405d8fa64c:g:uVgAAOSwWSpmMryu&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4JUaYY3yaBOYSUHrPTXF6LhZr12ZOCi8UeQZRKI4ID%2B9FGxyfvK%2FAj9y92gbqB11Jz5XF4fF9QAmlSN3r%2FluhbuXqtxqc3sZDhNd5Imyi%2FUesR1o5KRbB%2FS2YE7xEcqWheCgtXW%2BE73Vu6sUcUReBYVbaeDZSXbeMQYA6MY7j1yOQ9FOTu7AXTrqwW%2FMFJ2Pi04jI8ecTD3Q8NLDGmVRINg%2BPwNHvUUYEi3ZfvXVkHTHrFAYNTHNcBowTo7EItAvIzi1biiGJAShNAvdFXE2g6%2FXxERxtwu4d1mdkkD5xlKK|tkp%3ABk9SR4yDwbLoYw
  7. Call or email Klipsch customer support if you can send them pictures of your speakers and serial numbers you should be able to order new k-48-st woofers. Otherwise I'd try and pick up a used set of k-48's from eBay just make sure they're 4 ohm as I've seen both 4 & 8 ohm versions.
  8. Can it get any better? Amazing speakers placed in an amazing audio space. Very impressive photos. Would love to spend an evening playing my favorite songs on this setup.
  9. Jeff, I been using a 2 watt per channel amp for over 10 years on my khorns way more than enough power to run me out of the house!!!
  10. Well saying too much might be considered pointless and extraneous. 😉
  11. I'm on this silly list too #2233 out of #2462. It's almost like...."hey, everyone else is doing it". I have the stereo unit 2.1 version with anniversary updates and added XLR. Could be 5 or 6 years before I get mine....if that ever happens. Heck, I've moved since the order. Many units will come up for sale on the used market ....so I could have just snatched those. jc
  12. I'd love to try out the gear you have....if any SF Bay Area members want to bring their amps or pre-amps over to test things out, I am game for listening sessions. WRT the digital crossover, can't really tell who the manufacturer is from the box itself. No digital configuration but has physical switches on the backside for basic configuration (auto/on, 0/-9db pad, balance/unbalanced).
  13. I ended up hiring local movers. It took 3 of them (they were really big dudes) to bring the bass cabinets downstairs. Money well spent!
  14. Finally have the room downstairs carpet installed and moved the Jubilee speakers down there. It sounds fantastic. Imaging is so beautiful and the room sounds great. I started playing with the SVS sub and the Jubilee's this evening. I am aware the Jubilee speakers go down to 18hz but it was interesting to see how bass-heavy music would respond with the sub. I set the crossover frequency for the SVS at about 20hz and it added just the right amount of low-end. Not sure if I will sell off the SVS in the long run as the cabinets still sound pretty good without it. Pics for the team:
  15. Always happy to get a chuckle. Well as long as it's not in the bedroom. 😆 FREE ENGRAVING ON SMITH & WESSON HANDCUFFS @Abomb won't be long and you'll have that 4 tonearm comment figured out too. 😂 💪
  16. Memory is a ethereal thing, but I recall that rge K-400, on a baffle, had an fc of 273 Hz. I ksonthought the *length* of the horn controlled its fc and the mouth area determined the response ripples it had (or didn't). I seem the remember the La Scala bass horn had an fc of about 70 Hz and acted more like a woofer in a corner from 70 to 55 Hz or so.
  17. With 2 sources, he's getting an additional 6 dB. So, he was clearing 96 dB on those peaks. That's actually quite loud.
  18. You won’t recognise a young Tony Levin and Steve Gadd
  19. If you live near me they aren't worth much...............I will be there tomorrow with some cash. 😉
  20. AL crossovers have gotten a bad rap... listen and say. Plenty of time to change. Start at 2k and realize 1500, as said...AL.
