Mornin' gang ... 2.5 cups down and ready for the day. Worked on restoring an old cedar chest yesterday and looking pretty nice now. Finished just in time to watch the Broncos win over SD and grill some burgers. Gonna take a little family trip starting Wed. and may be a little out of pocket till the end of the week. Have a good Monday, all.

Good Monday morning, Caffeinated and done reading about Spartan's victory over Iowa and upcoming game against Alabama. Sparty is an underdog, wouldn't want it any other way. The wife decorated the tree yesterday while I laid carpet in the basement and listened to the talking heads dissect the bowl matchups. At least the carpet got laid.

Am kind of glad it's Monday and work... Saturday nite - Annual Christmas Dinner for the Filipino-American Association of Greater Association of Chattanooga. This included a pageant for young girls (it's really a fund raiser for the organization, as the winner is the one who sells the most tickets). My wife and I were doing the announcements for the pageant section and I had created a couple of video slideshows to run. Up late Frid. night, up at 7:30 Sat. working on it again. Arrived at 2:00pm, worked on setup, started show at 6:00pm. Out of there about 11:45pm, so we headed to a hotel down the block so we didn't have to make a longer drive home. Ate again at a great cafe at the hotel (open 24 hrs, and was packed at midnight...) Up at 10:00 Sun. a.m. to get dressed, eat and get to church. Home after and put everything away... sleep... sleep. This morning came early, but I'm actually able to get things done at work. Had copius amounts of coffee. Yes, I will make it through the day! Bruce

Morning Gang Recovery mode. Woke up on the farmers couch, quite a Bender. NO Coffee, This is a job for a BM. Yep that's the ticket, 2ed one now. Shooting/Plinking/eating/drinking..... One of the farmers said, Hey Mark do you work on Radio's? i said i take a look at anything, We go to his P/U, 3 Box;'s of CB Radios, all mobile, i count 11, 5 years old aprox, all look new. He said, here, fix one and you can have the rest Iv not messed with CB in 30 years, but it;'s for my pal's, so piece of cake. Another farmer said, hey mark remember that Drone you said was a POS? I said yeah. Good, you own it, it's in you're truck. Meanwile, yet another farmer ask about the Drone research i was doing for him was coming along, I told him i have it dialed in on the Bay, @$7 Bones MIn. Im looking at a check in front of me for $2400, he said get three. He said when they come in, you can show me and my son how to fly them, told him i dont know any more that he does. His reply, you will now, because the third one is you'rs......... All These guys are into watching their acreage/groves. Iv never had the desire for R/C, but how do you turn down "Paid For"? Im going to go find those cookies to wife made yesterday.

Well there saying 70 degrees during the days all week so it should be open windows all week, I love when this can happen. Bruce, had to go back to work to get a break, that happens sometimes.

Went to our nieces kids 1'st birthday party, came back to watch the saints loose and smoked a pork loin, at least the pork loin part was fun. Weather was beautiful 70 degrees and breezy, 57 right now.

I commented on a friends post who wished me a Happy Birthday today and realized we've known each other 42 years. It doesn't really sink in until you really think about it. Funny thing is I still feel like I'm in my mid 20's and even funnier is how I looked at people my age now when I was a kid thinking they were really old.

So yeah, it's been a good week. Thanks to Arrow in the "Alerts!" section, I landed a pair of mint, light oak KLF-20s for $300. Then, just last night, scored a pair of cherry CF-3s, original owner, consecutive SNs, for $175!! Both pairs sound great and balanced from top to bottom and side to side. They sound very different from each other, but I can't decide which ones I like better. Also, what can I do to shape up the veneer on the CF-3s? There are tiny scratches everywhere and it has an overall dry and pale look to a lot of it. When I wiped it down with a damp cloth, the veneer's deep, rich color came back, but mostly reverted after drying. Is this something that can be simply treated with a can of pledge? What type of product would be recommended for this? Thanks guys!

When things were handled in Hope, they got done. A nice lady always took care of me there from badges to KG 4 bass drivers to finding the exact paint match for me. After I needed a couple of tweeters for some La Scalas 3 or 4 years back, I got directed to Indy and got voice mail for the "parts man" which there was no call back from. I tried again with the same result and never tried again. Thank goodness for Bob Crites

Wife's nephew has a couple of drones. He showed me some 4k video he did flying over the beaches and palms in northern Palawan. Beautiful video. Mark, you should love it to learn how to use one of those. I'm amazes at how well the controllers work on those to keep them so steady. Bruce

Funny you say that, just last night I was playing around with a Db meter. I stood in the center of where I sit, 95Db, I walked all around the room and had the exact same numbers even on a sidewall. The only place i had anything different was in the center close to the ceiling in the center of the room, and it was 5-6 Db higher. The speakers are in the corners of a 24' wide room with a Tv in the center, I can walk to within 3' of the Tv and the sound still sounds like it's coming from the center. The width of coverage is amazing on the 402 horn. Besides the clarity to me the best thing is how large they sound, the sound does not sound like it's coming from a speaker but the whole area, it just sounds huge, even bigger than they actually are, by far. Ok can you tell I love them, it's the best I have ever had by a long way, and I don't have jubs, just the 402 on mwm bins. Jubs do fit much easier in a room than what I use. Not trying to talk you into buying some, but also have no reason to BS you. As you can see our room is far from the best for listening, the room goes 16" from the back of that sofa which is 18' from the front wall, but it sounds great to us. Jubs would have fit much easier.

I'm working on him as we speak. Apparently, asking for information on an item that has no model #, or price given, equates to a "bad attitude" buyer, I was told to keep looking. Still trying to entice some rage - hehe

Along with what Roger said....be aware that some here are far more critical (and capable) listeners than I am. I've been known to have an air compressor, pneumatic nailer and other tools in my hands while also wearing hearing protection while listening. I have more beer & peanuts ears when it comes to listening verses perhaps a more focused and refined wine & cheese set of ears. I don't know where you'd fall if you prefer Diet Coke.

It has come to my attention that the toaster has not been received. Fat Tony is not pleased. Tarheel, should I send Fat Tony up for a visit? You might treat him to a nice holiday dinner, capische?

Afternoon gang..... Just walked on the deck....nice day....in the 50's... Getting a late start....was up late watching a movie....Watched South Paw....was ok... Today I will finnish the "Battle of the Leaves"........ this is the first time I have gotten them all done before the end of year....should be one more truck load to the dump.... I'll get the BOSS to post some pic's of the onslaught...... Had a fire in the barrel last night...me and the granddaughter sat around it talking about "stuff" ..... was a good night...... The BOSS made a great batch of spaghetti last night......man it was good.... I cooked the noodles... Have a great Sunday all...... MKP :-)

It was an absolutely beautiful day today. I did a little something for my brother-in-law; detailed his Dodge Prowler. Not a practical car in any stretch of the imagination but it is one fun toy.

Evening Gang Last post, im done. Was having such a great time last few hour(s). Killed 1/3 bottle Lagavulin, 5 Guinness Blonds, then, THEN, the wife served dinner. Chit, i was having suuuch a good time. i leave you and my Neighbors with this tune.
