Just my luck....having to share the goods with a couple of greedy people.....

Funny you say this. I had a good friend when I lived in Indianapolis. His mother (in St. Louis if I recall) always bought him lottery tickets of some form or another. Well....it turns out that he (she?) finally won! Turns out, it was the lowest payout in their history....and he got something like $50 (I have no idea to be honest) His mother persisted in buying the lottery tickets for him and.....he actually won AGAIN!!! Set another low record and he got less the second time he won than the first. Me??? Do the typical, pay any debts off... maybe upgrade my 2005 car to something more contemporary. Then, I'd drive to Hope and have lunch with Roy. You know it has to be i my cards. Yesterday at work, my wife called and asked me to buy a ticket (we don't buy lottery tickets but hey... this one is worthy of our effort, right?) So I go buy a ticket....she calls again. Seems there is a stray dog on our front steps. He's maybe 5 months old, scrawny and unkept looking....but, he's bleeding out of his mouth (everywhere he walks he's just drooling blood) It was 7:30 when I got home, too late to take him to our vet. I didn't want to take a stray dog to the emergency vet as I've been there and know that's going to be way expensive. Dog looks stable, he can wait until morning. This morning, I walk him, he goes potty. Get in car, drive to vet. Agree to leave him there (he's there now as I type). They asked if he had a name? I said nope....but, I bought $20 worth of lottery tickets last night. If we win, we'll keep him and name him Lucky!

When speaking to Boss's mom, speak to her not about her. Alzheimer's, as well as other forms of dementia, often make people unable to express themselves but not necessarily incapable of comprehending their surroundings. I witnessed a startling example of this. If you haven't already seen the Netflix documentary "Alive Inside" I recommend it. The message is heartwarming and entertaining. There is some good music too. Love is powerful. Use it wisely and often.

Morning my friends... Thanks you all for your support... Been up since 3:30.... can't sleep....me and the Boss got up alittle before 6:00... 2nd cup almost done....will be rolling out in a few minutes.... just gotta swing in the shop... we left so quick yesterday....couple things we gotta wrap up.....gotta put the weekly deposit in the bank and lock up a customer's car so they can pick-up....also will talk to the used car guys, see what's up with there work load.... After all that we'll head up to see Mom.....our eldest daughter stayed up there last night..... The Boss's sister's will be over today....gotta start doing what's has to be done.... Yea Mark we have to look after Mom...this will be the hardest part of all this.... Yea the world keeps on going....and so will me and the wife.... Thanks again guys..... MKP :-)

My friends...... Tonight is a very sad night for us at the MKP house hold.....we got a call this afternoon that my wife's Dad past away...This of course has hit us very hard. I have shared some of the issues we are having with my wife's mom.... the Alzheimer's.... It's going to be a real tough road for us in the upcoming year.... I'm kinda a loss of what to do..... But my wife (AKA "MKP'S BOSS") and I will get through this with our family.... My wife's Dad was more than just a farther-in-law to me... I too called him Dad.....I am for ever indebted to him.... If it was not for his generosity I would not have my auto shop or the house that we live in....now he didn't "give" me the house or my shop....but again without his support we would have never made into the 2nd year of our business.... i am going to miss him dearly.... I am asking my friends here at the CC&C to keep us in your thoughts....It might sound a bit silly but I feel a closeness with you guys... So again please keep us in your thoughts and prayer's cuz right now we need all the help we can get... I'll be MIA for a bit but will check in when I can... Take care my friends Mark....

And the first time ever, run the HDMI video directly into the Visio big screen.... All very cool, and right now intermission and an interview with the choral conductor for what is coming up next... Faure' Requiem ;0)

I'll chance $5 for a life of misery, trouble and resentment....who wouldn't?

MKP & Boss, Sorry to hear of your loss. I have lost both parents and a mother in law that I was very close to and it is a hard time. Allow yourself time to grieve, be there for each other. Over time you will think of them and smile instead of feeling sadness. Try to get there as soon as you can, he would want that. That's what I want when I'm gone. Take care.

Thinking of you guys. Stay strong. Check in when you can.

Some of you may know that Valerie Klipsch, wife of Paul W. Klipsch turned 100 in April. As they had no children of their own, Ms. Valerie has come to rely heavily on her caregivers/assistants/staff. During our trips to Bodcaw/Hope AR I have become very good friends with one of her caregivers. I was informed today that Ms.Valerie has been experiencing some health issues, mainly as it relates to balance and walking. Ms. Valerie has entered a rehabilitation facility at the encouragement of her doctor and caregivers. Needless to say she was a little reluctant and her participation required quite a bit of prodding by everyone involved. We are hopeful Ms. Valerie will stay for the two weeks the doctor has recommended. I have been given permission to post this here and I am asking for well wishes, good thoughts and prayers if you so feel led to do so. As Ms. Valerie is not a member of this forum I will be forwarding screenshots of your well wishes to her caregiver to read to Ms.Valerie. I will update her progress here as warranted. Thank you all.

Avarage $9 bucks a pound in these parts, and well worth it. Supream Burger W/almost zero Fat. Once we tried it 20+ years ago we never went back, you body is worth it. In fact when out on the town if i have a regular Burger anywhere, heartburn big time.

Valerie had a son from a previous marriage, Raymond. Unfortunately he has passed away but he had two sons. Lee and Shannon are Valerie's grandsons.

Small update. I decided i liked the out come of the top and bottom. So i made a template, i am also working on a template for the bracing. My goal is to try and makes assembly easier and quicker, along with making everything fit better. Mocking up is going good, could use some adjustments. But all and all I am happy with it. I would be happy to, of course but we would also need the info for where you and the wife went on vacation. If I remember it looked great and would make a great place for a big "meeting" for friends to just celebrate, i would love to do that also, guess I should have bought a ticket.

We have a cat, his name is Otis. He has only one eye so I call him our pirate puss. Anyway, he comes in for visits everyday but spends nights outside. We have no litter box and he has never had a mishap. He just goes to the backdoor to let us know he needs outside. Great setup as he is about 5 years old now. Best way to have a cat for us.
