  1. Yesterday I walked in and he was busy at work with my FR-300. I caught a sneak peek at what he was up to and I wasn't sure what I was looking at so I grabbed a picture. This morning I was looking through new pics and had an epiphany. He is building a time machine! I am so excited. The first thing I am going to do is go back in time and see how they really built the pyramids. I KNOW FOR A FACT there will be space ships. I know none of you can argue that. It's pretty common knowledge. I will stop rambling and show you the picture. I AM PUMPED! I put this in technical because there aren't many thing more technical than time travel.

Yep, that's about all either one can do at their respective ages They're piling on here tar - you're getting the Rodney Dangerfield treatment! He's still younger than you in dog years?! Haha! Oh well - it's better than the alternative I suppose. At least you're here!

  15. Love the dog pics/stories. Our Great Dane thought he was a lapdog too and that's right where he'd plop down, not next to or near, but on. When you couldn't feel your legs anymore and tried to shift he'd give a slightly inquisitive look and wonder why you were ruining the moment.

  21. Greetings all! Happy Tuesday, I caught up a little reading all around the forum today and I realize I have a bug of upgradeitis, I need to turn this stuff off!! Mac Amps - 70th anniv Khorns, Palladiums on sale!!! This is at war with my present contentment! Thankfully I have cup #2 and I will get back to work now and settle down. Really enjoying the JS Bach station this week on Pandora - anyone have any high end streaming service they use yet regularly for music? Have a great day! Chuck - glad you're better! I can't believe that miners pic back a few pages! Talk about no claustrophobia allowed!!

  23. I'm putting my KP 362/682 setup up for sale. Here's your chance to own a big-boy audio system. I bought the speakers from Colter (on the forum) and really enjoyed them. However, I have several other sets that I'm also using, so just not using this setup to its full potential. The speakers consists of 4 KP 362 and 2 KP 682's. The speakers come with heavy gauge speaker wire with NL4 connectors. In addition, each stack comes with a dolly with large casters.....which makes it so easy to move these around. The audio rack consists of the following: 2- Crown K2 power amps 1 - QSC GX-5 power amp 1 - Dbx Driverack PA+ with mic 1 - Furman power conditioner/protector 1 - SKB 12U rack case All XLR and 1/4" cables. This is a turn key system. The only thing you will need to provide is your music source. Everything works great, just as it should. The speakers have light road rash/rubs, as expected, but nothing major. $3,500 takes it all. I have over $4,000 in this system (within the past year). I'm pricing this to sell all together. However, if no serious takers come along, I will look at breaking the system up. ****************************************************** Update - June 7th: KP 682's (2) and KP 362's (4) - $1,900 (with dollies and speaker cables with NL4 connectors). or KP 362's (4) - $1,000 or KP 362's (2) - $600 (as you can tell, I really want to sell all speakers together or at least all 4 KP 362's together) Someone step up and buy these.....I hear the fish calling my name! Or, if you have a good aluminum fishing boat/motor of equal or greater value, shoot me some pics......I'm open to a trade. Thanks, Hogfan

  24. Dave - Spent the weekend in midtown Atlanta visiting family, and walked to church on Sunday. Sacred Heart of Jesus Basilica was built in 1898. The organ is magnificent! II wanted to get upstairs to get some other pictures of it, but wasn't able to. Unlike many older churches, this one is meticulously maintained. Here's a blurb about the organ from the church's website: The organ was built by Casavant Freres of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada who have been building organs since 1879. The new organ was installed in 2001. The organ consists of 42 ranks of pipes, with two ranks of pipes coming from older organs. The organ façade is from the original organ installed at Sacred Heart in 1901 (a Hook and Hastings instrument). The façade has been restored to its original rich color. The organ is played at most Masses as well as at weddings and funerals. Each year the parish hosts a St. Cecilia Organ Recital where the vast capabilities of the organ are fully displayed. There will come a day, my friend, when we will be able to share communion. Bruce

  30. I could, but not if I want to stay married . I am not in the least concerned about the bass. I know they have it, and I know why I don't get it right now. The basement room has always been planned as a library / listening room. And even before I bought the Khorns I had started designing the layout of the room for the day that I would own them. It's not going to be an all out listening room, because it has to be the library too, but a lot of thought will go into making sure I can get it as close as possible to what I'm looking for.

  35. I've owned stock Klipschorns for a number of years and have been very happy with how they sound. This past weekend I decided to do try some upgrades; replaced the AK-2 networks and K-77s with B&K A/4500s and CT120 tweeters from Bob Crites. I was expecting a subtle difference in sound quality but was blown away by the improvement. The low end feels tighter, mid/highs are clearer and everything sounds more cohesive. Stereo imaging was much more focused. I don't have any measurements but I did some listening comparisons by playing mono through the left (pre-mod) and right (post-mod). I asked my wife which she preferred and she was quick to chose the one that had been upgraded. Not scientific by any means but I'm very happy with the results. Having lurked here for many years I figured it was time to contribute something back.

  36. True but the main cause of a vehicle pull after a tire rotation when there wasn't one prior to the rotation is a tire issue. Pressure should be checked during the rotation as should irregular tread wear.
    2 points
  37. Odd that the alignment would change after a rotation???? An oddly worn tire from the camber being off can cause that or tire pressure. Could even be a combination of the two. Caster is the only angle that will not cause tire wear but is the most likely to cause a pull.

  38. The 70th Anniversary Klipschorn is a soul-stirring tribute to Paul W. Klipsch's original design. As the only speaker that has been in continuous production for 70 years, I don't think I need to go into more of it's history. It's the American original. 40. You are a hell of a craftsman and a top notch photographer. Nice work and thank you for sharing. I look forward to seeing what you do next. A pair of Heresy's and a sub are a great combination. Being a person with 3 pairs, I can say that with confidence. A couple of days ago, I did this to a pair in my mini-woodshop: They fit nicely up there, and they are inverted so the tweeter is closest to the ear, the squaker is next closest and the woofer is coupled with the ceiling at 2 3/4". It isn't perfect, but being a 7' high shelf, it wasn't being used for anything but clutter anyway.

  43. Mornin' guys. Thanks for the welcome back. You are appreciated!! Speaking of nutty weather, we had 3 (count 'em 3!!) fricken' days of snow this past weekend and now it's sunny with temps maybe hitting 80 by the end of this week. Springtime in (or at least near) the Rockies. Anyone for late season skiing? Come on out. Happy Tuesday to all and, of course, cheers.

  44. I went through all of the reviews and forums researching the SVS subs. I decided on the SB-2000. Yes, the ported will go a few hz lower. Also, the consensus is that you'll need 2-4 of them to equal the output of the ported. I've had many subs but never a sealed. One thing I like about the SB is that the bass is linear. It's not "boomy" at low volume, and gives you the punch when you crank it. I'm working with a 3600 cubic foot room that has an opening at one corner. I'll be ordering a second. Yes, bass is "nondirectional", but I can tell. I look at these as an extension of the mains and will be running two. 3600 cu ft!?!? I would need about twenty of them bad boys in that room. Haha my room is 2100 Cuft and I had to ditch the pb-13 ultras cause they were at maximum potential when I would do the occasional crazy volume scenes.

  46. I started out with Velosyne Ct100 (10" with 100 watt amp), then F1500 (15" with 250 watt amp) then HGS15 (15" with 1250 watt amp) then dual HGS15's. I purchased a Klipsch RSW15 and it has as much output as dual HGS15's so I sold the Velodyne, and began hoarding RSW15's lol.
