Mike - The Cadillac was like new, not like those crummy impostors from the 80s and 90s. To be fair, it also included the last 2 scoops of 8 O'Clock. The next batch will be 100% Cadillac, so we'll see.4 points

Good morning all. Trying some Café Bustilo 100% Columbian coffee this morning. This is a good start for my day. I'm going to mow my neighbor's yards. She is 78. Load Microsoft Office 365 on my brother in law's computer. Finally, spend the rest of the day getting my taxes in order.4 points

Tastes very good. Breakfast is served. Reese's Easter eggs are the bomb of peanut butter cups. The extra time on the Nordic-Trak is worth it. Too bad they're not available all year.4 points

Say it ain't so Joe. Today is the final game at Joe Louis Arena. My older son and a friend will be there to witness the sad end. Next season the Red Wings will play at Little Caesar's Arena. Sure the new arena will be nicer, but, somehow, it seems unfair to the memory of Joe Louis, but he still has the fist.3 points

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, BREAK GLASS . . . or in this case, Mylar. Horrors, the whole bean 8 O'Clock is gone. Let's see how the Mylar bag preserved the freshness of the Cadillac Coffee after more than a year. Good morning to all, especially to the always positive folks here.3 points

I just sold these today. I didn't have a chance to do anything to them other than wipe them off with a wet rag. I did get the badge that I ordered from eBay for $15 and glued it on. I had them listed on Dallas Craigslist for $450 and got an offer for $400. The guy listened to them, liked them and gave me $400. Thanks for the suggestions of the price range. It sold for just about what most had thought they would.3 points

If Klipsch had made a three way RF-7 with a limited edition Peruvian walnut veneer, they might have looked something like these. I had previously done a few upgrade to my KLF-20's, the titanium tweeter and upgraded crossover from Bob Crites. They really helped improve the sound. The one thing I still missed was the copper drivers my previous RF-5's had. So I found a set of 4 RF-7ii drivers and started a project. My cabinets weren't bad or failing like some of klf speakers can have, but decided to rebuild them anyways. I kept the width and depth the same and increased the height closer to the rf-7ii. I left the ports on the rear the same, this dropped the factory tuning frequency by only 3 hertz or so due to the increased volume inside the cabinet. I've seen some people change the tuning closer to 30 hz but since the speakers are usually crossed over at 70-80hz it was easier to just reuse the stock klf-20 ports. The cabinets are made from a combination of Baltic birch plywood and Peruvian walnut. The walnut and plywood were bonded before being cut into the panels for the new cabinets since the walnut is not a thin veneer. No dyes or stains were used on the walnut, just a tung oil based finish. In the first photo I was testing the fitment to see if i could use the dimension from the stock cabinets. The drivers were fortunately the same size which made things a little easier. The only different really was where the screw holes are.2 points

Matt, Since I could tell you were a true Klipsch fan I found the plaque that I had never done anything with since buying it at least 10 years ago and decided to throw that in. I am down sizing. Glad you finally got the 7s and hope they arrived in the condition I left them in. I hope that set will always have a nice long life, well cared for. Before I bought the 7s I had purchased a pair of RF-35s from the smaller listening room from my local authorized dealer. I walked by the larger room and the RF-7 had command of that room. I knew at that moment that one day I would step up to the RF-7s. Enjoy, Troy2 points

Up early to get everything prepped. Soak the wood, light the fire and let it stabilize at about 225 degrees. Pork goes on the top shelf, and away we go. Will only open again in about 4 hours to add a bit more wood, but that's it. Beautiful day here, 74 and clear. @oldtimer and @CECAA850, hope you have a great day.2 points

It's a little hard to make out, but that's a Big Asss fan mounted to the steel support on the canopy in my avatar. We mounted two of them under that canopy. Must have been a big a$$ canopy!!2 points

The old thought that adding an EQ to the chain would diminish the SQ is well just old and not relevant. It can enhance the s ystem. I use a Berhinger in my 2 ch. system and you can't talk me out of it. It has been a terrific addition to the system with tubes or SS. You may not need one if the room and speaker setup, reverb and bass decay is perfect in the room?2 points

Let this be a lesson to all forum members. Don't drink at an auction! You end up with little furry bundles of joy that you don't remember bidding on.2 points

Yea in the ces vid those white wool gauze looking ones do look flush I love that wood might deal with the light colored grill just to get it! That pic I put on page 23 I got from searching the Klipsch site after I found out about these this week. That's how I got to this thread.2 points

The Sub 12 was a great bang for the buck sub and got mucho love when it came out. It only started getting bad press when their amps started capping out in large numbers. When it's running it's a decent piece of gear. Basically a good performing sub with questionable reliability.2 points

We had a few Big Asss fans at my old company, 8 foot blades I think. You should see the motor for those things, takes PLC controller to run the things. About $5-10K depending on blade(s) length. Talk about moving some air - I'd bet we could get Oldtimer off the ground with one of those!2 points

oldtimer, I must be one too, like your choice in rock`n'roll bands. Didn't ever see the one from the lyrics, but in the mid 80's saw three way opposing waves in Greensboro from the one your avatar makes me think of!! Maximus89, I know the tweed multicolors on the previous page seem beveled. Pic on the first page is like silver luster with gold lighting on it, that and the wool cloth seem flush. I've just rotated my two credit cards I use to a new zero-percent-er yesterday. Six months equals no balance for me!! Fight interest, quit charging when they start to charge you! I WILL be rockin' some Blk CA Walnut Forte IIIs by the holidays!!2 points

This does look interesting. Curious to hear your impressions. I'm keeping an eye open in case my DEQ2496 takes a dump. In the meantime I love it with an outboard DAC. Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk1 point
