  1. Accepted a job offer today and start my new gig on Monday. It was scheduled for 45 minutes at 9:30 and turned into 90 minutes plus lunch. I'll be employee #3 of a small MSP that's been around for the better part of a decade and was (still is) a customer of the colocation/hosting company I left in April. He's looking to grow and I get to be a part of that process. We really clicked and he's basically polar opposites to all of the major gripes which caused me to quit my last job - so I'm really excited. This was a great experiment, based on some calculated risks and known limitations. We took camping trips, went to the Pilgrimage, did a ton of work to the property, grew our chicken flock, added a goat herd, two turkeys for Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, a couple of all day road trips, had a ton of concentrated family time. Accrued a little debt, but overall managed to rely on what we had set aside for this break. As far as I can tell it was a huge success and we're rested and recharged for the next phase of our family growth - the girls are starting their home school regiment, i'm heading back to work, we've got a growing farm, so on and so on. All with fresh attitudes and energy. Today was a good day.

  2. Had a couple of friends over last night for dinner and billiards. Cooked Porterhouse steaks on the green egg, creamed spinach, baked cauliflower, and a peach cake with peach ice cream. Bought a half gallon of Tullamore Dew and had a steady drip from 5-9 pm. Played couples 8 ball with the home court advantage but the home team scratched on the 8 ball three times. No hang over to speak of and up this morning and gave the Volvo a bath by 7:45am. Hot and relentless humidity here! Almost looking forward to fall Will break into the See's candy soon. Told LF that minermark has sent her another box. She is thrilled and will hide it away to savor.

  4. Meanwhile in my village there lives an ______ A man was rescued by Corpus Christi police after being stuck in an ATM on Wednesday afternoon. The man was a contractor who was working on the machine when he accidentally locked himself inside, said Corpus Christi police officer Gena Pena. Police arrived to the 400 block of North Mesquite Street about 2:05 p.m. after a passerby saw a note the man slipped in the receipt slot asking for someone to help him. The note also said he didn't have a cellphone with him. Police said some people thought it was a joke. Pena said no one could hear the contractor in the ATM and said several officers had to kick the door in to rescue him. It is unknown how long the man was in the ATM

  26. Messed with the placement. The bass is a lot better, but I started listening with more intent towards the sound not the tunes. Now both six inches from the outside wall, nine from the back at the corners there's a lot more space behind them and it's sounding even better! *7/15/17 Fine Tuning. Pushed them back to 5" and 8" respectively, the low frequencies are more focused at the opposite wall now.

  35. I couldn't put this in the Garage Sale because they are not mine, but wow, there are some great prices on Klipsch right now. I like the R-14M, $200 reg, until July 15 $99 a pair or the R-15M for another $25 bucks. I don't need any more speakers but I am so tempted to pick them up as a gift for use at a later time. Here's the R-15M.

  37. had already developed asthma by that time, so had quit smoking completely. It didn’t take too many times of struggling for air for me to decide that smoking was a thing of my past. I admit, at first, i would grab the bong and think if it got high enough i wouldn’t realize that i was short of breath. That didn’t work out so well, so smoking as stopped cold turkey.

  41. Is the other smaller broken piece from the horn still in one piece or was it shattered? How are you with fiberglass work? Ive built tons of fiberglass things in the 25 years I was in car audio. Is it possible to glue the pieces back together and then use some fiberglass mat and resin and put it back together? That would by far be more solid than the flimsy plastic. I've thought many times about doing that to the back side of my CF-3's horns. Just a thought.
