  1. In the past year I bought these two albums at a local thriftstore. I'm currently watching Steven Spielberg 's version of it on Disney+. I like it a lot!

  4. Good morning to all (I know Paul is sleeping as I type), but just wanted to to let you know that I will have the results with commentary on my twin vinyl spin on the two turntables for you this weekend. Yesterday while running errands etc., I had a gift card from B & N that still had some $$$ on it. So, went through the vinyl section and picked up a recording from Rumor (yes, the girl singer ) and will look forward to spinning that soon. I have the one CD from her and it is very enjoyable. More to come! Enjoy your day 🍷

Grab the popcorn! https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649844049-bob-carver-raven-350-monoblocks-demo-units-as-new-10-year-warranty-including-tubes/ Question: Frank what do you mean " up till this year" where you be now???? Answer: "The company was owned by Jordon Gerber, Bob Carver and me from 2016 until Jordan walked out about two years ago. Everything fell apart at that point. Jordan had the product built, painted and assembled and did all the quality control and we never had a defective. Bob’s wife took over a little over a year ago as Bob began to show signs of cognitive decline. Of course she knows nothing about our industry and one of our dealers convinced her that he should he’s a general manager. For six straight years we’ve never built enough product to meet my sales. This former dealer, Jim Clark Stereo, convinced Peggy, Bob’s wife, that he could build the productin his basement that we couldn’t build ourselves! This is absurd. So the two of them got together and terminated all the dealers in the world and all the distributors from Thailand to New Zealand. They were hoping to make more money. I resigned on the spot. their lawyers have already threatened me but I can give an opinion. My opinion is that they have destroyed all the work that I’ve done and the company will go out of business in the near future. That’s just an opinion and it’s entirely subjective and therefore if they come after me, they have no grounds. this is, once again in my opinion, the greatest tragedy in the world of audio in the last decade. The stuff sounded great. Bob is not to blame. He’s pushing 80 years old and has no idea this is all going on"

Seen her bumper stickers on those bumper sticker cars for years now with other bands they've played on nugs that I have on my streamer.

  17. That's just wrong of Dave to send that erroneous t to you. But the Pink Floyd.. That's an excellent version I'm sure you're aware Paul. The stickers on the dead wax are colored differently than the original too. And if any of Rush's releases need to be on heavy vinyl it's that one... or maybe their first *eight https://www.fiestabowl.org/sports/psfb/roster/46th-annual-game-2016/77 Oh wait that's not a goof t-shirt they didn't lose 31-0 to Clemson. 21. Hi guys! I’m seeking some guidance. Our fabrication shop is moving into a new building and needs sound. We build all sorts of things and use a wide variety of tools like a CNC router, sliding table saw, radial arm saw, abrasive metal cut-off saw, etc. (to name some loud ones). We are all big music lovers and typically listen at levels that are audible over tools throughout the day as we work. Our new shop is significantly larger than what we’re currently in, and we’re looking to upgrade the system as we grow. - Room Specs: 2 adjacent spaces, roughly the same size separated by a long wall at 80’ x 37’ [2960sqft] each. Both of these are 17’ from floor to bottom of uninsulated rafters. Another room, which is off of one of the aforementioned rooms is light filled with 34’ ceilings and 53’ x 38’ [2014sqft] - basically two stories of windows in the walls. Beautiful, but a nightmare for sound from what I’ve learned, since it’s all basically brick and glass. Both are generally uninterrupted with the exception of the intermittent beams running vertically. - I think ideally we’re looking for a multi-zone system to control each space independently (same input signal) with a single control center if possible. This will be for music, no broadcast announcements or anything. We could use separate systems for each if it makes more sense. In at least one room I’d like to apply my LSI separates, with the plan to build a pair of Fitzmaurice THTs for underneath. We’ll need some more speakers throughout the rest of the space of course, so I’m looking for suggestions for both speaker placement/coverage and how to properly setup and power something like this. I’m a 2ch disciple mostly, so I suppose this might be my first foray into something akin to a pro audio application. I understand the basics and have some pieces that will help get us there (a few BGWs at the ready…) We’re a pretty DIY bunch as you might imagine, we’ll cobble this together however we can, but I thought the mighty Klipsch community may have some sound advice for us. Let me know whatcha think! P.S. - the Heresies get the upstairs kitchen/lounge on a dedicated system. 😎

  22. Some of you have mentioned you save those old Klipsch capacitors. I have saved a small pile of them and if you want them pay for postage and I will send them. I might have more to dig up if there is any interest.

  23. There have been a couple more responses in the listing, can only assume the last is Jim Clark? Question: If the company goes under, who will honor the promised remaining warranty? Question: This is disinformation being provided. The response is baseless. Consider the source. Bob Carver Company is healthier than ever before. The management or its impersonators were changed for good reason. Warranty or service is handed directly through the companies web site. Please call or email with any question.

  24. Things change in time. Some good moves and some bad. It's kinda like researching some guy in a band. Oh he was great w/them but terrible w/those guys. IMO it's all subjective. The attorney's will sort it out and the gavel drops. It is what it is then. Ya pay them to sort it out because you all couldn't. That's sad in itself. Lifetime of friendship flushed away in a heart beat. Should have thought it all out before you jumped. It always sorts someway though..

  25. Well as the poster for the item in question the value to me is obviously zero. I replace all old capacitors. The offer was to those who might want them for any reason and some have expressed interest in these in the past. Some really old WW2 metal can caps have some value to collectors who want them for whatever reason. I personally would never use these in crossovers though some do measure OK for use.

  26. Jeez....another set??? Great speakers for sure. I know for a fact my CF-3 v1's won't ever leave now. Even if I came across a set of CF-4 v1's for reasonable, I feel like I need to keep the 3's, too. But like everything, that's subject to change with minimal to no notice. Congrats!

  28. Interesting day today weather wise. They weren't kidding about 40-50mph wind gusts outta the south last nite and this morning. It was crazy last night with the winds. If it blew away last night it's gone. Prolly should venture out and nose but think I'll pass. Still some strong wind gusts. Hope everyone down south is good. Then cold again. I wish mother nature would just give up and bring on some sun.

  30. This guy married a friend and he's a fantastic dentist. Just a good ole boy from West Va. originally with 30 years of being a dentist. He really doesn't rape wallets like so many do today. He's funny as crap and yup they all decided they were gonna call the old man and remind him of his appointment. Youngest is in Phoenix, helped this dentist's wife in her business for about a year so he was her dentist. He's a high dollar dentist and makes piles of money she said. Youngest goes in for a cleaning and has a small cavity filled for $1300. So on the way out he runs his drill across her lower lip opening it up? That much fun for that kinda money? She said he felt terrible and said he'd work with it and "fix it" up for no charge. Of course he took her money. Here in Duckburg, you may as well forget about it. 12k people and just as many dentists as there are pizza places. All equally bad imo. Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon!

He wanted a large and mine were XL sooo there's that. NOW you're up to speed. Maybe, but nope, you're not even close. You KNOW I think out of the box by now soooooo... If anyone has a nearly new or new t just lemme know and I'll give ya his shipping address. He's gonna run with the devil he's gonna fit in. Don't believe me? Watch and take notes... O-H 😂 😎

  46. We work hard and play hard so afterhours shindigs occur occasionally, without a doubt. Hence the LSI and bass bins… I’m thinking that with some other decent speakers in the corners we’re set, at least for that room. Not a lot of cash to throw at it but we’re handy, and willing to dig around local classifieds and whatnot until deals pop up. Great idea here, I like the idea of that sensor helping out while we’re running the louder tools. Could a decent AVR as a pre out to multiple amps work for the zone idea maybe? Curious about ohm loads and distance… just some chunky wire if it’s kept to 4 speakers per amp?

  47. Claude, I bought an SMSL SP200 Headphone amp and made a headphone jack to twin Banana Jacks and set the amp as the Mid and Hi amp on the right channel of my tri-amped K-Horns. A Topping PA5 was on the left channel. After a day or two I thought that the SP200 was a tiny bit crisper and even quieter than the PA5. I re checked with REW and the output of each channel at 1m on the Eliptrac axis was within 1 db, so I promptly ordered a second SMSL SP200 to free the PA5 to run my Super Heresy pair. As the 16 ohm B&C DCX464 is 110db/W the SP200 at 6W into 16 ohm is well matched for mid and hi duties.
