Another sign of life from me , have brought part of my equipment to my good friend with whom I currently live. To his Mini Utopia and his Transrotor " FatBob " we have connected my external MI / MM / MC Trichord phono stage, my DYNACO PAS 4 tube preamplifier, my Cayin tube monos, my Marantz PM11-S3 SS , my Marantz SA11-S3 CDP and optionally my GoldNote M 9 Class D monos. We have also wired the entire system with my power- rca as well as speaker cables . The French Mini Utopia sound really great and have even for this size a fantastic bass foundation. We have what the music listening is really fun 😊 We´re playing with the gear and listen to music a lot .3 points

Agree, but the purpose of this setup isn't critical listening. My Khorns are setup in a well treated space. This is meant as nothing more than a bar room type sound, and that they do well! Nothing like some Waylon Jennings on Heresies, a glass of whiskey and a game of pool!3 points

Disc One has concluded and I will continue with disc 2 tomorrow evening, as I am headed off to bed for the night. Rest well everyone 🌙3 points

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere on the site; a quick search didn't find it. Here's a site with over 250,000 recordings of live music: https://archive.org/details/etree1 point

Also, look at the Alerts section right here to look at recent sales of similar speakers. Anywhere from 25 to 45 hundred depending on condition/model/year.1 point

Thanks. I was a little apprehensive about the power output in the beginning because my room is on the larger size and I listen at pretty loud volumes at times. But Aric assured me this is no ordinary 300B amp and you can see how much detail has gone into the power supply. I had him do several upgrades over the standard amp he builds, it should be a beast. Well at least as much of a beast as 9 wpc will get you.1 point

Good evening / morning friends! Just winding down to listen to some music on the UTurn and system from Denmark. So, brought up some LP's from the library. Right now, it is YES. Side A begins.....1 point

ALL I can say is holy sheet this is the TOTAL package! On side 1 of the Japan tour starts off w/"Superstition" and just keeps rollin. Freaking great already and Beck's' slayin it. Haven't jumped into who's doing what yet but I'm sittin here shaking my head. Soooo darn clean and tight, amazing soundstage and runnin 70-80db's consistantly. Amazeballs at just how perfectly this has been done. Crazy good. Double thumbs up for sure so ya better jump all over it. Now Beck's just runnin those high notes slayin it. Yea, it's perfection and time to flip to side 2. MORE goodness! I'm done & you better get huntin if you haven't ordered it. Thank me later! F it forget the weiners buy 2 and be done w/it! It just doesn't stop! When they're gone they're gone! Forget the weiners!1 point

Yeah that’s a big jump. I predict your socks will be sufficiently knocked to the other side of the room. That said, the CW IV will deserve something better than the Pioneer. You’ll reap rewards for upgrading electronics.1 point

If you can’t hear a difference, consider yourself money ahead and just relax and enjoy the cheapest one and sell anything else. As for me, I can hear it and have long since lost my way in the rabbit hole. There’s no hope for me, so save yourself……1 point

Here is how I spent my Sunday morning. A big shout out to Dean for the parts. The cedar boards I cut from a log I have had in my shop for over 10 years. I knew it would come in handy one day. Anyway, I would change a couple things, if I were ever to do this again, but over all not bad for something that gets hidden away inside a pair of Heresy's.1 point

I fully expect 20" or more by in the AM. Looking forward to it! Only one rolling blackout here and that was yesterday AM. It's been in the upper 20s since so I don't expect more. We have 12" already and it's snowing an inch an hour.1 point

I sent you a message. As to the filament, I only know these are gold plated grid. I have not read anywhere the type of structure and it cannot be viewed because of the construction of the tube.1 point

WOW. Was this with your PLX2? I'd almost wager that statement is amp dependent. Even RF-5's pound and go relatively deep with a hundred watts or two.1 point
