  10. 8AM and the coffee's good. Gonna get crackin today before I get caught w/my pants down and things start cooling off and the weather turns to garbage. I've got to re-arrange the garage. That means everything comes out, leaf blower creates some dust blowing it out then staging everything for fall up front and close to the garage door. The 6' lawn sweeper goes in last attached to my trusty 1964 Cub Cadet along w/my big blower in case it snows. The 1-ton core areator, spreader and Honda finish rider have to fit somehow along with my Stihl gear. Hate all the thunkin but trust me it's tight w/the car in there. That's the game plan anyway. Might even venture up on the roof to replace 3 aluminum soffit panels that the neighbor kid knocked out last year kickin the football around in the back yard. Then blow last years teaves outta the gutters while I'm up there. The kid's dad said he'd go up and do it but that's not gonna happen or it would have been done already. lolol Factor in a couple pots of coffee and my lawn chair I THINK I can make it last all day. Good time to fire up the KG4.5's and my yammer slammer and blow the dust outta them. Might not even need the blower cause Imma gonna crank it! Ok after re-reading all of that crap just scratch that roof job. My old butt ain't stupid. I'll wait to see if he steps up. Whats a couple dozen squirrels runnin in my attic this winter gonna do? Blah, I'll put the heat on him. See how easy that was? 1 down and a couple dozen more nickel dime jobs can now get done. Gotta have a work tune today too but I know just which one it is already! How's the second wifey Bill? She dancin yet?

My first snapper, loved it......

  13. It was back to my roots today: It's particularly raw and all Bon & Angus. Import from AU a very well done disc by J Albert and sons! "Baby Please Don't Go" and "Soul Stripper" are audio nirvana for a lot of us old metal heads!

  17. Peru works too. They make the best ceviche down there with Corvina...just this old man's guts can't handle it anymore. Anyway had broiled cod a week ago Friday at a tavern in RoyalOak MI. Was supposed to be Fish and Chips but my buddy said we could get it broiled instead of battered and deep fried...was quite tasty. Then Tuna this past Friday...pretty standard for us Catholics. And of course sardines at least once more probably twice a week....

  18. that list of lawn care [and snow removal] stuff makes me glad I live in the desert... I didn't need to mow the property after our [non] rainy season. Grass didn't even grow enough to mow. I could have gotten a lot done around here ... if it wasn't 100`+ all summer. Finally cooling down a little. Not today, though. Sub 90's predicted for Tucson next week.... and the mornings are cool ------------------------- talked to my other wife Sunday. They finally set her collarbone.... she sounded good. Her hip???? That's still in the works. Seems like they need to science hips out before they do anything. The better fix it soon and discharge her ... or sedate her, if they want any peace.

  22. I won't go into what makes/breaks relationships... I was with an alcoholic sex addict for several years, before learning you can't live on adrenaline. ----------------- nothing going in here ... that you want to hear about I'll keep it light watching Back to the Future the terrorists are chasing down the DeLorean ...in a VW bus. that doesn't say much for the DeLorean's performance, does it? ------------------------- When I moved to Kauai, I was living in the county seat ... a city...er... town. On Main Street. Traffic noise kept me up, right after the roosters started crowing. I guess these are special chickens ... brought by the Polynesians... but ... they are everywhere on the island. If you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and turn a light on ... that is enough to set them off.

  23. Drat, nice one got an offer today so my appointment tomorrow was canceled. The other I went and saw and there were chickens 30 ft from the front door down the hill up the other side of the hill as far as I could see.Ugh uh. 26. I have an update on this topic. As I type this I’m listening to Robin Trower: Bridge of sighs on my repaired Lascala’s. It’s been so very long. They need a good cosmetic sanding and thorough cleaning inside and out. Although it’s been since 1995 since I last heard them, a lifetime ago it seems. I’ve retired and suffered hearing loss raised a family,….they sound as good as I $remember. The crossovers will need to be replaced eventually but they are working great. Listening through a 150 wpc amp at 1.5 dec stereo. This is blissful to me. My new room seems to be a magical place hearing them again. Sorry to bore y’all but it’s just like having an old friend returned. have a great afternoon. kevin

  32. Texas got a heck of a QB from Ohio State thru that transfer portal. @oldtimer is pretty much spot on w/his analysis @Travis In Austin. They'll start changing things up in a couple weeks. Kinda funny today. Lou Holtz stood by his statement about Ohio State being soft. Weakest team I've seen in years yet loaded with talent.. I still say they're gonna lose at least 2 and maybe three games this year. The NFL raped the O-line last fall, the QB1 hasn't gelled imo and it's trouble in river city. It's just WHEN it's gonna hit imo. Maybe Holtz is just tweeking OSU to become better? Who knows? TBH Lou has ALWAYS been respected by OSU. i'VE heard his speak several times, the last being about 4 years ago at a fundraiser/auction. I actually found it hard to believe he said what he said yet he did.

  34. Second and third place three days ago in Japan is not nothing. Especially since McLaren has two top talented young drivers and the success curve is pointing upwards. The headphones of the technicians in the command post "without" Klipsch logo were frequently and long in the picture.

  38. Alrighty then @dirtmudd has solved the problem I don't have to look. Yanno Mike, about the only thing I can say about you is you're now becoming high maintanance. I have an ex just about like you. Nuff said. 😂 Beans are pricey anymore just like everything else. How's a guy gonna eat? FML! Lawdy it's gonna get nuts around here. I knew it was gonna happen at some point. Might have to start selling some old stuff and replacing it. Sucks to be me fo sure! Factor in putting the Thorens 165 in line w/a new Dynavector 20X in it for 45's??? We now have a love/hate relationship brewing. Thanks a lot for the clarification but you're treading on thin ice. 😂😂😂 😂

  39. Roy has been working on ideas on how to show, with real-world examples, of differences in direct radiator vs. horn-loaded subwoofer design, performance, and sound. He has come up with a way to demonstrate in a concrete way how these basic subwoofer designs differ in sound and distortion (among other things). How is he going to do this? He is having his team build four subwoofer cabinets with different design elements. An evolution of subwooferage (an industry term) you will be able to hear for yourselves with their corresponding pros and cons. We also learned today that Jim has been mining the archives for never-before-seen PWK drawings and other tidbits dating back to the '40s where Mr. K was working on the bottom end to offer "full range." As you know, he could initially do this with the original 2 way Klipsch horn. Apparently, PWK was experimenting with porting/venting on his X-3 prototype and Jim will point that out. You will also see some concepts PWK was working on very early on with large horn-loaded speaker designs, and large in comparison to his Klipschorn. Mike Dyer, the official Klipsch Heritage Brand Ambassador for Klipsch Group, Inc. is developing a presentation to put this evolution into perspective. He might even be able to show you some things that he has Roy doing to his AK-3 Khorns that will be offered to all Klipschorn owners, Travis

  40. let me preface this with me baking 2 loaves on one sheet pan... so, the loaves crowd each other... I made a couple loaves of bread that ... errrr...welll, I don't wanna sound too perv... but they were so smooth and plump/round and tan ... no tan lines... that I dare say, they were kinda sexy ------------- does that qualify as food porn? sorry - no pics
