  1. I've had enough. Going to kick this system to the curb and just put it out with the trash! I don't think I have ever heard such clarity and presence in my life. I feel lucky. The musicians are here standing in front of me playing. I am connected to the music in a way I have not felt before.

  7. I'll Play You know how things change over the years. The ROCK-RADIO FM station we had back then played Rat Salad/Fairies Wear Boots together all the time like they did that pair of Led Zep tunes! Of course Iron Man was the reason to get that LP then! Now? I'll pull one that the lyric and music stick like bubble gum on one of those darn 100 degree early mornings! What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return Take your written rules, you join the other fools Turn to something new, now it's killing you First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm Disillusioning, you push the needle in From life you escape, reality's that way Colours in your mind satisfy your time Oh you, you know you must be blind To do something like this To take the sleep that you don't know You're giving Death a kiss, Oh, little fool now Your mind is full of pleasure Your body's looking ill To you it's shallow leisure So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now You're having a good time baby But that won't last Your mind's all full of things You're living too fast go out enjoy yourself Don't bottle it in You need someone to help you To stick the needle in, yeah Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!

  11. Hello, I just purchased a pair of the Klipsch Jubilee's and am trying to figure out what amps to drive them. I understand I need to biamp them and was thinking of the following config of equipment already in my posession: Preamp: Bozak CM-10-2DL DJ mixer (it's discrete, sounds great) Amps: 2 x Mcintosh MC252s Sub: SVS Ulra 16 subwoofer I have been reading the forum articles and have seen some creative configs. Particularly interesting is the idea of using a pair of Mcintosh MHA100 headphone amps. Are there any clear guidelines or consensus on what amps/power to use with the Jubilee speakers? Given their efficiency, I feel as if I am way overpowering them with the MC252 amps. Additionally, would I still need my sub? When I heard the Jubilee speakers they sounded like they could go down to the lower frequences much better than my old Klipschorns. I enjoy movies and dance music so wondering if I really need the sub. I appreciate all the informative posts that I have read on the forum so far and the knowledge being shared. If there are links to articles and useful posts you can forward my way, it would be appreciated.

  12. Hello! Today my Klipsch KDA-1000 was off. I tried to turn it on and off and it did turn on for a second (red light on) and then went off again. I unplugged the power for 15 minutes and just in case I connected the Ethernet cable to avoid IP issues. when I turned it on did the same thing, red light flashed for a second and then turned off. please help! thanks!

  13. Against the advice of many here I decided to add a few braces internally to my Cw IVs. I cut 12” 1x2” hardwood pieces with 45 degree ends and glued them from side to back as shown 4 per side and one from side to bottom. I just can’t stand that boom of a hollow door sound when I knock on the sides . Every other high end speaker I’ve owned has cabinets T least twice this thick and also a lot of internal bracing. If nothing else I strengthened the cabinet when I move them around etc. yes it’s a small volume decrease but I cross to a subwoofer at 80hz anyway so I am not using the bottom octave . Well the pics are too big I’ll resize and post

  17. I’ve experimented with stacked Lascala’s for center channel , the top one upside down tweeter to tweeter . The vertical alignment with identical speakers made it difficult to detect any change in sound quality.

  21. Lawdy, boys n girls this thing's totally amaze balls! PWK HAS to be sittin up there laffin at me! If you don't jiump ALL over this it's YOUR LOSS! It DOES NOT STOP! Factor in Beth Hart in the lead song of the lp "Broken" it hooks ya right from the start. He does nothing but shred and rock. Transitioning into some smooth blues on side 3 that take ya for a smooth ride w/some stellar guitar and back up work complete with just enough sizzle to hold your attention. That just only draws you deeper. Then your right back into some smooth Tejas blues w/amazing lyrics all front and center in "Breathe." Filppin to side four wondering if it can get any better? "Heaven or Hell" WOW! Talk about hittin home with the lyrics then factor in the work? Tellin that story ya never heard but always knew was there? THEN the ride begins? "We get what we deserve?" BOOM and a shred right after those words we all know is true? Crazy! Slowing it down now w/"I Wanna Stay" and more amazing lyrics? Last tune is "Falls Apart" and I'm not sayin squat. Pretty sweet way to close a double gatefold that FLEW by! It's been a LONG time since I've heard anything this good. Trust me on this one. FIND IT! Yea, crank it up and LISTEN. Helmet on and buckle up cause it's crazy good. 💪 💪 Come on in @Full Range I'll clean that ear out for ya! Seriously though, feel better and keep us posted!

  25. Back in the ole days there were "loudness" buttons/switches on systems. They were meant to do exactly what I think you want. They would attenuate the lows(especially) and highs of the music so we would appreciate it more at low volumes. You could try cranking up the bass and treble knobs while listening at low volumes.

  34. From an evolutionary point ... I think our lung are more equipped to handle smoke over E-cig or CBD/THC juice. Smoke meant fire/heat....Not necessarily puffing on a cig/joint Don't get me wrong. Smoking is not good for you. I use a vaporizer... not e-cig. No juice. It heats dried plant matter to very near point of igniting. The plant matter does not burn. I object to folks calling use of e-cigs as vaping.

  35. I wish to use an example of another product and the aftermarket directly related to this product. Most of us are familiar with the very popular product that goes by the name of Jeep. This is a product that has been around for many decades and has endured many engineering changes and improvements over time. Note; not all engineering changes are improvements but they are measurable changes. Whew got that out of the way. Anyways, this is a product that a person with the right skills and ambition can build completely out of a catalog. When I say completely I mean they could build the entire vehicle using absolutely no parts ever manufactured by Chrysler, amc, Daimler, fiat or whoever. But this finished vehicle will be considered for all intents and purposes a Jeep. No body gets butt hurt that it was not made by Chrysler or that it’s top engineer did not put the last ceremonial drop of oil in the crankcase. The after market is embraced because all in all whether you must have a bone stock vehicle with the original dealer sticker in the window, or a trail machine with more scratches than DJs record collection you share a common interest. The point is, who cares if someone built their own speakers, I built mine. I am here every day reading posts and contributing what I can. My input and others still drives new customers to klipsch. It creates excitement for the brand. I am a klipsch customer too. I am also a woodworker and enjoy a challenge. I want RF7IIs , I will probably buy them over building them. I apologize for this post becoming a rant.. enjoy your klipsch whether they be the design or finished product.

  36. Who doesn't have a Klipsch LaScala? DJK has had them... I have them... Not totally needed for the upgrade but will help. What's your problem. If I were living on the other side of the planet, I would probably build my own. Actually, I will be on the other side of the planet in about 5 more years, and I won't be shipping all the stuff I have here around the globe. In fact, the current pair I have is only half Klipsch. The other was a copy. They both now have Klipsch guts. Doesn't matter to me that they aren't all Klipsch. They sound like it... What's the problem here?

  37. Mate you have an attention span problem And you don’t read the posts Let’s get this straight The speakers are not Klipsch original ✅ I have stated that The speaker drivers are not original ✅ I have stated that The crossover is not original ✅ I have stated that However based on the alterations to components, what has been created is a finely tuned speaker and subject to a persons point of view better than the original Let’s take an example A race car driver takes delivery of a new car out of a showroom Can he drive that car in a race ? I say no as he will be left behind So he takes that same car and alters the running gear to make it - “Fit For Purpose “ also competitive and safe Now I ask you - Choose a brand of car and insert name - XYZXYZ When you see that altered car driving around the race track and winning races DO YOU say that car is not XYZXYZ because it is enhanced with better parts than a car from the showroom Seriously

  38. I know the pain of losing a dear friend all too well. Lost my Yorkie named Peanut on December 1 but found another precious soul in the form of a Pembroke Corgi named Blaze and I wasn't looking for a new family member. Anyway I am glad you found a new love and I am sure you will be happy for years to come.

  39. Ok last weekend I started out cleaning the gas grill I had and let's just say I ended up dumping $85 worth of replacement parts into it. I started to replace it with a Charcoal grill but talked myself out of the $400 I liked that was grill plus a cover etc. I'm still looking because I love to mix wood in with the charcoal. Wal Mart has a Kingford model that about $165 but I'm not sure if I need 2 full sized grills. I was thinking about maybe a something like a Weber 22 inch grill. Anyone have any suggestions? It would be mostly used for burgers, dogs, steaks, and the beer can chicken and grilled pizza.

  41. Well I got the Weber yesterday the 22 inch model as well as chimney starter, cover and hickory charcoal. It took me maybe 30 minutes to put it together. It took me a little longer to get it up to temp than I thought. I fixed grilled corn on cob and burger with onions, bacon and cheddar cheese mixed into them. It was a pleasure to grill on charcoal for 4. The coals are almost cool now so I will empty the grill and cover it up for tonight.

  42. Thanks for all your help! I really mean it. I posted this question on a couple of BBQ and Grilling forums and on one I got very few responses and on another one the thread got all blown out of proportion and by the time it was all said and done I need a $2000 smoker/grill to grill burgers, hot dogs and cook everything else. They didn't pay attention to the fact that I have 2 smokers. You all are the best so THANKS!

  43. Come on you should know by now, there are no dumb questions. And to answer your question, no. Buy it, put it together, add charcoal, rub a little oil on the grates also depends on what you are cooking, then enjoy... James Well I had to ask :-) i remember having to season a grill a long time ago and I know I had to season my smokers. I looked at a Weber Silver today and I may get that one. $20 for replacement gates vs the $85 for the gas grill parts sounds better.

  44. Yep that is a big Kettle grill. Too rich for my blood though. The 21st of this month I have to take the dog to have her fixed so I may go to Sans Club and check out the big one they haave there. I have 2 smokers all ready so I think I will just stick with those. One smoker is a larger propane model and I have an insulated electric one for the winter months. Are there any drawbacks to the Weber Silver models?

  45. I love the vintage gear. I frequent another site and a lot of people there have vintage gear. There is something special about the glow of the lights and swinging needles. I remember an older quadraphonic outfit my dad had that had 2 sliders for front and rear speakers as well as left and right. Not to mention the tunner was in a valley and mountain formation. I would love to have it again. Keep up the good work restoring the vintage gear!

  46. Well ticketliquidators.com has some venues and prices listed. In DC the cheap seats are $118 each. I did see some seats that were $600. Some prices are listed for Columbus and they start out at $118 but those aren't on sale yet until 5/10 I think. Almost the same prices in Pennsylvania. Actually here is the link http://www.ticketliquidator.com/resultsgeneral.aspx?kwds=roger+waters&sb=1
