  1. No luck yet. @MookieStl I would be willing to loan one or both of them out to you, along with an XDA-2 DAC so you can evaluate on the Belles, risk free. Just say the word. I'd even drive 'em over to your place. They are killer amps for the price.
  2. I don't see them anywhere either. If I do I will wave.
  3. Build a second and the trim will come, I feel it. In the mean time, wire it as a center for a set of your La Scalas.
  4. Wait, there's an exciting new way to use a coffee maker I'm not aware of?
  5. This is also wrong. They are NOT C style. C does not mean "collar". KB prefix on the SN photo provided means "B" type which is collared, as they clearly are in the other photos. PLEASE see this post: KB = Klipschorn - Model Type B, "collared" KC = Klipschorn - Model Type C, no "collar" KD = Klipschorn - designer type
  6. That chart is wrong. For example, an “F” is definitely 1968 for a Klipschorn. See this post:
  7. I wonder what they're being replaced with?
  8. sorry to hijack a thread like this, but dude. this is beyond cool.
  9. A while ago I was going to get a second set of La Scala splits and I wanted matching amps to drive the two pair, planning to rack-mount the amps in a road case, both driven by an Emotiva XDA-2 DAC. Life circumstances changed, and I'm sticking with my existing LS setup. Ain't too shabby as it is. So... For sale here are two Emotiva UPA-2 amplifiers. If you're not familiar with them, the specs are attached. First one. Minor scuffs on top. 8/10.: Second one. Also minor scuffs on top, 8/10. Both amplifiers are in factory box and outer box, both come with power cords. I powered each up one time to verify operation. $260 each plus shipping, 40 lbs. <<<------ Price reduced 9/11/2020 I also have Emotiva rack ears for each, $20 for a set of ears, but I won't ship them in the same box, so we can work out details on that independently. The ears are beautiful and look great on the amps. First buyer chooses which amp they want, but to be honest they're both the same and both great. hfe_emotiva_upa-2_en.pdf
  10. Thanks for posting that. My opinion doesn't count, but I'm torn on original vs. restored for something as historic as that.
  11. any photos of what it looked like before it was refurbished?
  12. What? That's when the spiders crawl out. You should have tested them first.
  13. For sure. I sold an extremely rare 1972 4-bit computer (with front-panel switches and indicators and a paper-tape reader) for a couple hundred dollars. It was in working condition with no missing parts. That was a long time ago, and I needed the money. I could buy my house today for what that computer is worth. Ah, the short-sightedness of youth.
  14. This is a great deal for someone.
  15. Where did you put screws in the sides that would cause them to stiffen up?
  16. I rebuilt my tops and repainted a few spots on the bass bins where the Duratex took a beating, the next logical thing to do is to add mid-braces. I have heard something strange going on at high volumes once, but lowering the volume then raising it again fixed it. I have the plywood and the time for a small project, why not? Maybe I’ll post photos in the LS Split thread of the project as I go.
  17. Oh! Genius idea! I would buy a wristband that said that and had a little PWK logo on it.
  18. Well, when you start with hot water...
  19. Beautiful amplifier. Wish I could afford it.
