LarryC
I ordered a DVD that contains this performance of Tic-Toc-Choc by Couperin, played by the relatively unknown great pianist Grigory Sokolov: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOJaKbDBmoQ (see comments on amazon.com -- http://www.amazon.com/Grigory-Sokolov-Live-Paris/dp/B0000T4U3Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1244158217&sr=8-2) This piece was written to be played by harpsichords with 2 separate keyboards. Playing the 2 parts together on one keyboard is supposed to be "impossible." Not for Sokolov, though.

seti
Seti, That Big Latin Band is a keeper. The quality is very good for the time it was made, I still play it often. Thanx, Russ It is fun. The Spring Time For Hitler as a latin band combo cracks me up. A good friend met Mancini towards the end of his life and got this record signed. He said it was the only time they played that song. Moderators dtel Posted June 14, 2009 Moderators Share Posted June 14, 2009 I only listened to it once while doing something else and I was thinking it sounded kind of off, like overly compressed or something, it was the CD version but still kind of flat, have to listen again. Dale A B
I usually hit my favorite used CD joint once a week, and there is lots of music out there at very good prices. This is what I found yesterday: Roxy Music - Stranded (and) Siren Billy Squire - KBFH Live Greg Lake - KBFH Live The Tubes - The Tubes (MFSL) J Tull - This Was - 2 disc 40th anniv coll All for $20 I don't have any space left for any more speakers, but have made room for more music! To me the recording was not very good quality. Yep also picked up the Chickenfoot CD yesterday. On initial listen I downloaded the CD to my vehicle audio system( I have a Chrysler 300 that has a 30GB HDD) and on playback the system did not display artist name or track name like all the other CD's I have downloaded. It just listed it as a generic MP3 download. I think there have definately been corners cut to produce this CD. I have not had a chance to listen to it on the home system yet. All in all I thought the songs were pretty good. Not talking of audio qaulity here. Chad Smith-drummer is definately overlooked in this group, I thought he was pretty tight.
