JL Sargent
Another truely bazarre life has ended. He recently passed a very in depth physical by 4 doctors in preparation for his comeback tour. The autopsy will be interesting. RIP.
oscarsear
Just read about this too. Not a huge MJ fan and the guy had his controversies, but 50 is way too young. Something more to it maybe????
oldenough
Also not a big fan...but he was a huge talent...There will be a lot of people grieving his loss...Godspeed MJ.
kelA
This is the 3rd, should be done for awhile. (Fawcett, McMahon). RIP
colterphoto1
RIP Michael- thanks for the tunes. He and I were born in Indiana in the same year- 1958. 50 seems much too short of a life time. Michael (the other one)
Jeff Matthews
Wasn't a big fan, but as I grew into my mid and late 30's, I acquired much more respect for his earlier solo stuff. It really was good. Thriller and the like.

seti
Hey woodog long time no see. Not a fan of his music although his early disco stuff didn't suck.
winchester21
Mentally ill??? definitely Unhappy?? that is debatable- seems to me like money got him everything that he wanted- regardless of how immoral or illegal- and with no penalties
Fish
RIP,I was a fan, when he and I were very young.I really liked a few early hits with the 5(abc etc...),me at age 10.That was it for me,never an adult fan but still a very tragic tale for a talented guy. Also RIP Farrah and Ed M.
colterphoto1
A man died, can we be nice about it?
jt1stcav
I, too, was never a big fan, nor have I ever bought any of his albums. But I've always appreciated his raw musical talents, dedication to his craft, and expert showmanship he extruded for his beloved fans the world over! I think we've all laughed at his quirky nature from time to time...despite his sometimes eccentric conduct, none of us can ever take away the fact that in the pop genre he was a musical genius, pure and simple! You will be missed, Michael, but never forgotten.
BigStewMan
A man died, can we be nice about it? yeah, don't let this thread get out of control. i wasn't a fan at all; but, don't rejoice in his death nor will I make light of it. Whether we liked his music or his life--he has a bunch of family members grieving today, and that isn't a funny thing.
dgoreck
Sad week with McMahon, then the 'Angel' and now the 'king of pop' Wasn't ahuge fan, but did like some of his songs.
sheltie dave
Michael, we can have sorrow and empathy for his family and extended family. As far as respect - yea, I respect his music - but for the man, he will be meeting his maker, and he better be prepared. Money does not provide a get out of jail card up there. Islander
he will be meeting his maker, and he better be prepared. He'll be judged. We don't need to...
