DizRotus
What are some good films you've enjoyed that might have dropped below the collective radar? I'll start with a few; The Spanish Prisoner Steve Martin, Ben Gazarra, Campbell Scott, Ricky Jay, Ed O'Neil in a mystery; not a comedy. Commercially doomed by a misleading title (it's the name of a specific confidence game) and a deliberate G rating, this interesting David Mamet production is well worth a look, or two. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spanish_Prisoner The World's Fastest Indian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World's_Fastest_Indian The Prestige http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prestige_(film) The Illusionist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Illusionist_(2006_film)

Marvel
My wife and I watched "The Prestige" about a month ago. I figured out what was going on before the end, but it still had some nice twists to it that caught me off guard.

colterphoto1
****** with Brad Pitt- Jewelery heist gone wrong amid much British silliness and a killer soundtrack. Guy Ritchie directed. Excellent for quoting also (like Holy Grail and Hitchikers Guide).

Rivernuggets
. Basically a mystery, with a Hitchcock-like ending I didn't expect. Subtitles. . Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. Don't know how well this one did. Not Michael Mann's best, but very good. . Viggo Mortenson and Naomi Watts.Touching The Void. True story. Documentary about a climbing expedition in 1985. It didn't go as planned. Amazing what the human body is capable of. I watch this one about every six months.

Groomlakearea51
I must confess... I'm a "sleeper" during movies. It's no fun getting old... lol... You too!!! LOL!!! My best "naps" are when I take my wife and son to the movies. Outstanding "snooze" last weekend with Pirates of the Caribbean -4; I fell asleep about when Jack and Gibbs were on their way to the Tower of London, and woke up - very rested... - as Jack was rowing away from the little island.... Moderators dtel Posted May 27, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2011 Burlesque Worth watching just for the quality of the soundtrack, I loved the music, it's probably the best sounding of any blu ray or DVD I have heard yet, by far. The music will surprise you, turn it up a little ! It's PG 13 which is about right.
