Bosco-d-gama
Covid19 called for ‘interference’ in Louisiana. 30 members of the crimson tide are covid19 positive or in quarantine. Guess we could refer to this as the ‘crimson ‘red’ tide’. Considering some of the accounts I’ve read covid19 can still pack a punch sometimes for ‘youngin’s too. Be interesting to see if performance for this high octane athletes is impaired. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/sec/2020/06/20/lsu-football-coronavirus-covid-19-positive-tests/3231689001/
Bosco-d-gama
America is being laid bare by covid19. Looks like many at the brink now feel compelled to act, instead of stew. For me, the biggest issue was, and is - long term care for the elderly. It crosses all gender and racial lines and will absolutely impact every one of us who manages to reach those ‘infirm’ years. With regard to covid19 this is also the most deadly issue outside of a shooting war America has experienced in a century. Despite 10’s of thousands of covid19 dead nursing home care is not ‘major’ headlines. The silence is stunning. If they were children or of any specific ethnicity America would be outraged demanding explanations and improvements. Thoughts? https://www.npr.org/2020/06/21/880945464/nursing-homes-struggle-as-staff-choose-unemployment-checks-over-paychecks

Bosco-d-gama
News on the new China covid19 outbreak, written by China and not peer reviewed. They report that the initial strain of covid19 does not impart any immunity to the ‘mutant’ strain that now is the predominant form of the virus. It’s unclear whether this means there’s ‘never’ any immunity imparted to ‘any’ form of the virus. And they claim to have cultured the covid19 virus from the “mouths of salmon” from their exceedingly filthy open air market. Curiouser and curiouser. https://www.scmp.com/coronavirus/greater-china/article/3089983/coronavirus-recovered-chinese-patients-may-be-defenceless

The ‘mutant’ covid19 strain China claims is causing this outbreak is a strain found elsewhere and it supposedly started in Europe months ago. I agree that their ‘wet’ markets are a nightmare and they certainly have the potential to percolate and spread novel viruses. But they’re more of a general epidemiological disaster conveying more common pathogens. Where humanity gets into trouble with new pathogens is when humanity encroaches on unexplored regions where the fauna have hosted odd pathogens forever, any one of which if loosed on humanity could be ugly because we’ve never been exposed to it before.
