BigStewMan
If I make it through today, tomorrow I will be 47 years old. Year 46 was exceedingly wrought with pain and challenges (topped by the recent burglary of my home). Those of you that are already there, how is year 47? Does it get any easier? Klipsch speakers in lieu of flowers are appreciated.

mark1101
I'm 47 now. 45 was my most recent tough year. 46 was a lot of hard work but with some payoff. 47 has been a pretty good year. How does it go? Good Times, bad times, I know I've had my share............. The years can only be as good as you let them be. []
Daddy Dee
I sort of missed my 47th year. Did the math wrong and thought I was 48, so I was "48" for two years. so anyway, it's not technically required to know you are 47 unless you want to. Moderators dtel Posted August 3, 2007 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2007 It's just a number ! At the end of next month, I will be on # 50, I don't really care about the number! It is a privilege to get old, the alternative is not as much fun, just a guess ? D Dee, I did the same thing a couple years ago, thought I was going to be 49 and was really 48, gained a year. Shows how much I care about the number.
garymd
I'm guessing more forum members were born in 1960 than any other year, myself included. No disasters yet although it has been a tough year so far. Family health issues mostly. It WILL go down as the year the wife and I quit smoking (she's 47 also). It took me 2 tries, just one for the Mrs. She's tougher than I gave her credit for. Have fun while you're still young. Try some different music. Take up a new sport. Go skydiving. Swim the English Channel. Take piano lessons. Buy a sports car. Learn a new language. Grow a beard. I'm out of ideas. I did none of those things. Who has the time? Have a happy birthday. BigStewMan
yeah, i thought i was already 47 so i did gain a year; but i sure don't want to repeat the past 12 months (except the cruise to hawaii part). i do know that when i count my blessings they outnumber the challenges--sometimes it is hard to remember that though. reading some of the replies made me wonder who is the oldest and who is the youngest forum member. anyone willing to fess up? thanks for the birthday wishes, i get to spend the day with my 1 1/2 year old granddaughter which is always enjoyable. Islander
Every year is getting better. Don't count the years, count what you did with them. And some days, just being by yourself counts as doing something...

CECAA850
Jacksonbart, God will get you for that one.[] I'll be 50 in November. I'm thankfull every season I can still play soccer. I don't know how many more seasons my knees have in them but it seems like every year I have to work harder than the previous to maintain the same level of play. 45, 46, 47....it's all the same. 30,40 50, etc you can reflect on, and really notice the difference that the years have had. Every day is a blessing, treat it as such.

Seadog
I turned 47 this year too. So far, so good! Other than working a few too many hours in a week, I'm having a pretty good year. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? [:|]
