    • Well as always it's a pia to load pics here, which is why it will be easier to email them directly.
    • All in excellent shape HUB1 with two remotes, center channel, and two bookshelf speakers with stands $1,100 plus any shipping OBO. Located in Central Florida.
    • Your absolutely correct, i am looking in from the outside, but i have looked into opening a business and learned enough to not do it.  I found i can save the headache and live comfortable just punching a clock and going home. I have a friend that runs a business building $1800-$2500 racing carburetors. He makes enough to keep the doors open and have a little pocket money.  Not my cup of tea, so i do have an idea what running a business can involve, although never did it for good reason.   I certainly do not have Klipsch's numbers, but they made it this far with a quality product (Heritage line), that most middle class could afford.  So if there supply costs and overhead is that much now to lessen the quality and charge more pushing the product so far away from the average consumer, then maybe they should close the doors, walk away.  Its never good to die a slow death.
    • Everybody here is familiar with these pretty desirable El84 amps. this was recapped back in 2017-2018 with the exception of the cans. Full Disclosure one of the output transformers was problematic then and my tech put another Scott transformer in It. Same model, but one has notch cut down the middle of the stack one is solid. I just had my tech check it over and the only thing he did was clean the tube sockets. He said the cans are still fine and I have to say it it very quiet at idle. It's in nice but not perfect shape with only small imperfections. Has metal case with a so so repaint job. No wood cabinet. The 12ax7 tubes are vintage and I'm 90% sure were labeled Tele's I think I seen a diamond on the bottom. The driver stage is  vintage, but aren't legible and the output tubes are Sovtek El84M and Sovtek 5ar4. I will consider shipping in the future, but for now I will set this for local to Chattanooga Tn. meetup If you're a potential buyer, but not just a tire kicker message me with your email for pics and short video of it playing.   $700
    • it's been described as uneveness .. so it's entirely from the series resistor...cheers
    • Nice Vintage Sansui 9010, black accented faced 881  in pretty nice cosmetic condition, just lubed the pots and cleaned the switches. I'd say it should have a full service, I notice a slight hiss while at idle with efficient speakers, but no hum or static. I do have a new pair of filter caps that I believe will fit this and I will include with the sell. Having trouble uploading pics, contacts me directly and I'll email the to you.     $450 shipped to the east $460 shipped to the west
    • Post holiday bump- there was a time not too long ago a "good" price for these new was $3500 I believe full retail is over $6k. Looks like PHT's current price for these is $2600 a pair:   https://paducahhometheater.com/products/klipsch-ki-396-sma-ii
    • I would try and find an Academy first if you can find one reasonably priced next would be a kg2.5 or 2.2- this of course is if you're stuck on a smaller sized center otherwise a matching 5.5 / 5.2 would be ideal as recommended above.
    • What burn resistor and 3 surroundings did you replace? Please show me in the picture.
