Finally a beautiful day here in Duckburg. No baseball games to attend, my runnin's done and I've been sittin here all chill today. Thinking about a guest appearance at jam nite tonite. Should be interesting since a best friend packed it up about 3 weeks ago after a lifetime with the same guys. They brought in a couple young guys on on lead and added a kid on a B-3 who's actually pretty good. Both need b*%C% slapped a few times but that'll happen in time. So gettin kinda nosey. š French doors open and totally jammin a ton of good stuff. Must be doin ok cause a bit ago I heard a "H3LL ya" outta the neighbor behind me. She's out werkin plantin flowers. hahaha... Gotta love tolerant humans cause I truly do push it! Yea, I woke up this mornin and got myself a beer! As if! See what ya started @billybob? All inclusive but missed a couple I love is the only problem. lol :)

put them in the back for a 5.1 set up.

Ugh. This is another solid reason why people are hemorrhaging from this forum! This used to be a fun place, but not so much anymore. No mods, a damn hassle to share pics, etc. No thanks!

the first two digits in the serial number indicate they were built in 1988. the rest is pretty easy -- k-77 tweeter, k-55-m midrange, al crossover. you can't see it obviously but there's a k-33 woofer. all of the drivers have ceramic magnets -- the drivers with alinco magnets were phased out by 1980.

Some like the AL, maybe, most do not. If no capacitors leaking, rusting through, you have abit of time and the forum to help. Helping is what members do.

You guys have been great, thank you for the info. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have. I read that the AL crossover was only used in 1983... However, the copywrite date on the tag is 1985 so clearly I was wrong... The labels are pretty faded but I've been playing around trying to get some contrast... can anyone help me figure out what I have? I don't know the Klipsch codes well enough to figure it out. As always, thank you for your help.

This is me from about 1975-76

I have a pair of Klipsch speakers that I think are either Heresy or Chorus, but Iām not sure. Could someone help me identify them please?

I am at the "less is more" phase of life. It might pass but.....

500ish would be my guess.

I have no idea other than the rough math I've done over the last two years. They are only reducing the real time build list by about 450 amps per year.
-
This is a good point. I hadn't thought of that. I figured I would protect myself in case not enough power. So I ordered two.
-
I monitor my progress about once a month and have noticed no noticeable faster performance. They are not setup at all to handle the orders they have. It's a horrible business model. Honestly, I don't expect a $1K tube amp to give me any revelations. I thought I would try them to experience a well reviewed set amp at a good price and with a lifetime warranty. The problem is waiting my lifetime. They are in a conundrum because the way they run that business I don't see a fix for the long wait.
