Guide for diagnosing issues 85 La Scala Pros
SenorPwnador replied to SenorPwnador's topic in Technical/Restorations
Final update for a while. Found a k-55m on eBay for $165 and the guy took my offer of $125. Installed it today (although I need to solder some new contacts in it at some point), and both speakers are sounding amazing. Cosmetic updates are next, but I’m traveling for a bit so it’ll have to wait. Thanks for all the help getting these beasts up and running! -
Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated. Will the Roxul/Green glue in any way deaden the room response or livin it do you think?

Subwoofer matching with Heritage speakers

Ain't gonna happen. Changing the woofer won't do squat for increasing the low end. You need a bigger cabinet, period. Or a subwoofer. - Today

I am dad 😆 The past two times I had a bat in the house I just grabbed a cardboard box and waited for it to fly by and smacked the box up in its face and caught it. No tennis racket required. It’s been about a decade since we’ve had that problem as we no longer have an open chimney. Some days my reflexes are still stupidly fast for stuff like that, other days I’m not so sure.

Went on a self imposed diet in 2013 because my Doctor (very beautiful) said loose 30 pounds, quit the sugar and salt, and exercise every day or I will put you on a pail full of pills. I did what she said and I am only on Lasartan for blood pressure (hasn't changed since 1990) and vitamin D3 2000. All my buddies have those 7-day 3 times a day trays for taking pills and fat guts with bypass scars. JJK

Those would be right at home on my Snails, but I will have to start with something a little smaller. Very nice looking set.

Looking at a pair of vintage La Scalas, what do I need to know?
wuzzzer replied to S391's topic in General Klipsch Info
Heresys are no slouch. I started with a pair and now have five of them in my home theater. Paired with really nice subwoofers they’re hard to beat. -
BTW "too large for my listening room"....take'em outdoors and BLOW.
-
BTW who refurb'd those speakers? They look freakin' brand new. Beautiful. GLWYS......or not.
-
Are we talking about the speakers or Terri Hatchers hooters?
-
I think your price is fair. I know if I didn’t already own a pair, I would buy them.

Yes, I've been on a few diets. From my experience, focusing on balanced meals with plenty of food vitaminssuch as Omega-3, B6, and Vitamin A and proteins .All of these are essential for our bodies and help improve our health and skin condition. I often take them in courses, so I prefer to order everything in pharmacies, and sometimes even online. I am most satisfied with the Canadian Pharmacy B2B format. For me, it's a quality indicator, very convenient and effective. It helps me and improves my health, so I recommend it to everyone

Thanks Dave! It is a weak demo as opposed to a live in person demonstration, of course. May have seen it before. This time wanted to have a tool for interested parties to have a look, and a half baked idea of the potential awesomeness. Whether other videos can give a clue, parties can search those out, in order to have a clue, between the heritage models. A glimpse... @Dave1291

My wife's younger son in the Philippines got a Chow (crazy enough with the heat), and one of the grandsons is only nine. He can love on the dog, use him as a pillow, etc., and the dog just loves it. When we visited last July, just started to reach out to pet him and he jumped at her and scratched the skin while biting her knee. Since there are so many strays in the Phils, right around the corner from the house is a "Dog Bite Clinic". She got a couple shots, a couple weeks apart. I had told her that Chows weren't very safe to have around, but they had already had him a while. I kept trying to pet him, just by letting him rub against my leg when he would walk by. The day before we left. he was letting me pet him. I'll probably have to start over when we go thee for Christmas this year.

I am trying to use them with an Ipad. they connect but within 10 seconds they cut out. I have done the factory reset and sync several times with the same outcome. the left one never came on and the tight one would disconnect from the Ipad. Am I doing something wrong? I am inside and all the other devices nearby have the BT turned off

S391 replied to S391's topic in General Klipsch Info
I just wanted to circle back and wrap up this thread. I ended up buy a set of Heresey II's from the original owner. While they are not La Scalas they will allow me to dip my toe into the Klipsch Heritage pool and get my feet wet, so to speak. Thank you once again for all of the info and advice. -
@Marvel she picked up an old female rott at the shelter a few years ago. Someone bred her a lot then got rid of her. There are two dogs on the planet I'd NEVER own. A rott and a chow. They have the brain the size of a peanut. When they flip they will take your face off in a heartbeat. Finally a couple weeks ago the kids got her out of the cage when I was there hangin. They brought her over to me and she snuggled right in. She was fine after that but I was in defensive posture the entire time. Prior to that she'd been crated and going nuts wanting to tear me up when I stopped or was there w/them. Daughter's second one that's the thing. They're freaky for sure. I'm good w/any other dog on the planet except Rotts and Chows. Maybe they could just crate me and let the dog out when I'm there. Then I could take a nap.
