I'm sure if the parents are loving to their kids like any parent should be, they will be fine. I worry more about kids' parents that shouldn't be parents in the first place. I worry more about kids being exposed to Kim Kardashian syndrome.4 points

Paul W. Klipsch was walking down the street one day and saw Dr. Amar Bose on the other side of the street. Paul stops, faces Amar, cups his hands around his mouth, and clearly yells, "Hello Amar!" Amar hears Paul's loud voice and stops. He immediately turns 180-degrees from Paul, puts his hands over his mouth, and mutters, "Hello Paul." Paul shrugs his shoulders and walks away.3 points

Thanks guys. I know he appreciates it. He originally was trying to hold off until after building my front wall but the pain is getting really bad. He needs to get it done now before there is any permanent damage.3 points

All good advice and appreciated and yes I didn't want to seem like I was too eager. We talked some this afternoon and will meet Saturday for a casual dinner. She is not dating anyone but has other dates planned.....but so do I. Matter of fact I have to get up and go right now....see I got a former "partner" who is back for more......all together now "Tarheel you dog".3 points

I have some LPs that may be of interest to some members. Started buying in the mid-60s. LPs such as The Fugs First, Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and the like. Interesting to me and maybe others. jerol2 points

And coin $1dollar at that! when is the last time anyone saw a coin dollar? and im not talkin about the new ones, no these are the old big silver dollar critters!2 points

I agree with my friend of science above. I've been in considerable contact with this guy (the other phone number was his mother), and something feels not right about this one. Resistant to letting anyone check them, or slight disassemble for inspection of components. My guess is rode hard- put away wet. With the Peavey monitor he was listing earlier, most probably filled with non-Klipsch components by someone who doesn't know sound gear. He's been here to check out forum for pricing info so may very well read this. Many of us could easily remedy anything that was the matter with these, but the seller's reluctance, coupled with the multiple cases of ceased communication - raise a serious red flag on this one. I was slated to go out this morning but never heard back other than 'sounds good', no addy, no phone contact only texts. BUYER BEWARE!!!! My guess is he's looking for someone who doesn't know what they're getting into. Which is a real shame, because I always enjoy breathing life back into a pair of classic Klipsch beauties. Oh yeah, almost forgot, when i came home from farmland last night, the boat another farmer wanted me to rewire the dash, was in my driveway. Seems im getting rather popular with the farming community after 22 years of knowing a couple of dutch farmers. I rewire the dash, install a stereo, and i have use of the boat for life, pretty good deal. All Bi-amped Active crossover goodies are in, and sitting on the bench. Second cup-o-joe and im feelin better. couple of asprin are in order....... P.S. WHAT DAY IS IT ?2 points

Good morning guys. Out of likes already Cooler this morning.....Jake was frisky. Concert Saturday off and date back on. She is playing it safe and wants to meet me there! Haven't had the system turned on in two weeks..... Volunteering with a new group called Rescue Connect that tries to save dogs from kill shelters and temporarily puts them in doggy day care. I see Tarheel is Still playin the dating game, that's ok, it will happen when it supposed to. at least he seems to have a good playing field. Now there's the real problem. Trying to pretend Klipsch-less families are "normal".2 points

Yes there is something unusual about this deal for them with the lady and guy and/or who whatever. If somebody wanted them $350-400 would be an ok value maybe go lower. Somethings not right about this whole situation though.2 points

Just wanted to give an update.....Youthman's HT 2.0 will be placed on hold for several months. My good friend Wakejunkie has to have a vertebrae in his neck fused on Sept 3rd and will likely be unable to begin for several months after the surgery. Sure hate it for him. I'm not concerned about the delay in the HT one bit as his health is more important than any project we could work on together.2 points

The 1 models use 90 degree horns so a wider sweet spot in the room. II's use tractrix horns so 60 degree horizontal dispersion, keeping sound from reflecting off the side walls, depending on placement. That might enter into your equation. I have forte and forte II here, will be doing some measuring and listening tests. I think the Chorus is a more LF sound according to what I've heard, most acoustic instruments don't really have that much low deep base. The forte is a very good all-round Klipsch loudspeaker and has a fairly small footprint with horns at a pretty decent height for seated listening.1 point

The Belles strength over the khorns is the ability to toe them in to the sweet spot and the height was perfect for listening position. I went from Belles to khorns. Honestly I could have been happy with either.1 point

Build looks solid for that thinking. whats the circuit/tubes? Its P-2-P so anyone can redo if needed. Is it in the 200 range? If not go Decware kit or DIYtube kit and Edcor iron.1 point

If you try the vacuum, use a piece of screen over the end of the tube, shaped to fit the dust cap. It will prevent you sucking the whole thing into the vacuum cleaner. Bruce1 point

Our older son returned home from DC, where he's a cop and a home brewer, to celebrate his birthday. The brew was very good. I lack the beer aficionado's vocabulary to describe subtle nuances. I liked it a lot, but I'm probably not the most objective critic. The glass speaks of a light German wheat beer, which the dark home brew definitely was not. My son gave me beer glasses he got while stationed in Germany before deploying to Afghanistan. Raise a glass to salute all those who serve and served. Our son returned safe and sound, others were less fortunate. EDIT: 12/20/2015 Photos deleted to free up server space.1 point

They're merely consolidating multiple big box product lines under the umbrella of a single and more widely appreciated product line. So there's a few low end Reference models trickling out now - which have already existed (the RF-10, really). They've already stated multiple times that there's more to come and it appears to be related to the high end Reference models. They may or may not take design cues from other lines. They may or may not have impressive specs. They may or may not sound like ***. In any case, there's not enough data to make an informed opinion. So what exactly is the problem?1 point

Pass judgement... I think they look damn fine. Those speakers look WAY MORE refined and "finished". some folks complain and don't realize that there are price pressure considerations and when you offer them premium product of no compromise they say... "Wow, those are so expensive". damned if you do, damned if you don't.1 point
