I woke up in the middle of the night last evening realizing I need more "Likes" in my profile. Please "Like" me so I'll feel better about myself. LIKE ME! LIKE ME!5 points

Thanks Keith! I did post more often during the "early years". My interest was always associated with the Klipschorn folded bass horn. I think its technically an interesting device. Also, I'm up to 40 Likes! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OK... count me in....5 points

You gave me my 500th like. That’s huge for a guy like me that has to find new friends every couple of years. Holy shit, I'm only 34 likes away. Get cracking ladies..5 points

Really? Is this high school? Or better yet, is it kindergarten? Or is it a Facebook thing? LOL.... ....just thought it was interesting since this is probably the most sophisticated (mature) audio site out there. Or is it? Hmm....will I get "Liked" for this post.....or will I get a "Warning Point"? Kinda cracking up but shaking my head at the same time....4 points

Yes, a good start indeed...and I do feel a wee-bit better about myself. A better nights sleep (for tonight anyway) appears possible. Thanks to all. Now, to proceed, likes seem to flow with "You get what you give" Max out your likes every dam day. Sometimes when you sign on you will give one or two and be maxed out for that sign on period, oh well, try again later. Sometimes when you sign on and start giving likes, you end up like Beeker, and seem to have a never ending supply, not a bad thing. Good luck in your ""Endeavor to persevere"4 points

That's easy. Spend time together and talk. Listen instead of wait for your turn to talk. If they are in need, help them. Try to find common interests. Never be in competition. You may want to look into these: Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder Avoidant personality disorder Narcissistic personality disorder Antisocial personality disorder Borderline personality disorder Schizotypal personality disorder This might help too: Good luck to you and godspeed my friend! Either this is a silly question or I do not fit in that well with our new world. Awe who am I kidding, I nailed it!!3 points

When a person says some things sound good and some things sound bad - it's a source related issue. The higher the resolving power of the system, the worse bad recordings sound.3 points

Let me see if i got this right: You have been a member here for FOURTEEN YEARS! You have ZERO friends. You have Zero pictures in your gallery. You have got (as of today) 10 "Likes". You are indeed the most senior member iv ever seen. So ill give you a few "Likes", but watch what you ask for, iv only been here for 10 months, passed on a few good deals to forum members, and look what they did to me! Cheers3 points

Wouldn't it be something if you walked into a Magnolia or some other store and they had KPT speakers setup in a high-end HT? The slogan could be "Bring the real Cinema to you".2 points

Okay … thanks to our good friend Elden, I’m now of revered status. I suppose I’ll get keys to the executive washroom and drinks are now free? I’m the same guy that i was at 499 … i won’t change … that’s my pledge to you. So thank you everyone, good evening, and may God bless America (and England … I like the Brits). Steve2 points

I knew you would be posting a happy outing, they are out there, it's just that you need to process a lot of Phillys before the better one(s) come along.2 points

Theres probably numerous reasons, but I would think they don't want everybody to be able to diagnosis their own cars.2 points

I agree with trading up to RF-62s. They use nicer materials in the drivers providing a significant step up in sound quality. I've heard the new Reference(icon) line, and they do sound just fine, but with pricing being equal there is no reason to pass up a pair of Reference IIs.1 point

Morning gang Wife had coffee ready, the Duggans is a flowin. Come out to the cave and find my keyboard has died, well that's a first. Good to have a stash of Pc extras stored. Had to check the Calender today, yes woke up and had no idea what day it was, nor care. 97 predicted here, pool maintenance is in order. Iv been informed there is no Bacon/eggs, hummmm.1 point

Cooper welcome. Here is my suggestion. Take your rf-26f's back. I'm sure you payed retail for them plus tax. Once you get your money back google acoustic sound design. Call their phone number. Mike will answer he is the owner. Ask for the Klipsch rf-62ii. You will get them for almost the exact price. Guaranteed. They are higher end models for the same price. You can thank me later. Then down the road you can get the rc-62ii to match. MUCH higher end center than the new reference line. The new reference line replaced the icon series from best buy. But the ref ii line are still higher end models. Just google pics and look at the horn size difference. Then when you get surrounds get either rs-42ii or 52ii. Get them all from mike. The deal you will get when you call will blow your mind. When you get ready for a sub look into Svs, psa, hsu. All internet direct companies but they offer more bang for your buck and much higher quality subwoofers with great customer service and stellar warranties. That's my advice. Get you a higher end setup for the same price. We all have learned from our mistakes and try to share the wealth of knowledge we have with the new comers. Once again welcome! This is a great community1 point

Robert, Welcome to the forum. I say no but some(very few) on this forum may say yes. With AVR "bi-amping", you are using the same component with the same power supply to "enhance" the sound, which in my experience does not add any more detail, power, punch, than running it the conventional way. That's funny because I was thinking that same exact thing the other day. I do understand that the manufacturers don't want the armchair mechanic having that information for obvious reasons. Not because they don't want to sell those guys parts, but because of liability concerns. Hell, that's why there is a disclaimer when the navigation comes on. What does it say? Something like if you get lost and drive into a bad part of the city and get mugged it's your own damn fault. Press enter to agree.1 point

Folgers works well around here, so this peets stuff taste wise better than Folgers?, i see it at the market, just never really gave the designer brands a second thought. I have been "spoiled" with my "designer" brands accessibility so Folgers, Maxwell House, etc. are not even on the radar any more. As mentioned, I can get the "better" coffee at my work for cheaper than the cheap coffee at the grocery store. To me, it is like comparing a good craft beer to the likes of Bud Lite or Miller Lite, no comparison. Bill1 point

In all sincerity, just be yourself. I've been to about 18 weddings, most of which as a photographer with no personal connection, and all of them were pretty pedestrian in nature. And honestly, it's not about you to begin with - so put the focus on them and whatever they have in mind and just blend into the background.1 point
