Sad news about the loss of DaddyDee, a fixture here on the forum. Well respected, helpful, and always polite. He will be greatly missed. Good luck with the family situation MKP. Great job on the garage duder. Cold and windy here. Mostly indoor activities today Well Carl should be along shortly to predict yesterdays Panthers victory Ran low on coffee and didn't want to drive to Costco so I bought 8 O'clock. I prefer Mayorga as does LF. Now get out there and make us proud worker bees. Cheers Ladies and Gents7 points

Alan, you really did come to the right place with your request. There are people here who constantly watch for Klipsch La Scalas for sale no matter where they are in the country. We have a long memory and we take theft of a "member of the family" very seriously. Do you have any pictures? Please post whatever you have and a good description of your LS, such as year, finish, gouges, water stains on the top, broken corners, etc. Year and XO type would help as well, believe it or not. If they try to part it out and we know what parts to look for and if the thieves try to sell it on CL or Ebay, there is a good chance it will be spotted.6 points

Good Late evening gang One Long gun to go, so far just dust First thing i did after installing built-in safe was to wire in 110V i keep a 10watt light bulb going in the safe 24/7/365, Keeps Humid at 30% temp 75 avarage, zero oxidation/rust Major Dickinsons Blend of fresh cracked brewin beans are tasting mighty fine. Evening gang Cave temp up to 59 and tolerable. Cleaning 17Hmr up a little, will take to the farm in the morning to show/ask the farmer how he likes mine because when i pick up his Henry from the Gunsmith, i will then proceed to shop for scope/rings mount. Man, i thought i cleaned weapons better than this when i put them away. Embarrasing, from the cleaning i just did, i would think i just came back from shooting! I do beleive since i have the time, and well stocked for the Am, maybe i should fire up a Pot of the Dickinsons Blend and just go through all weapons....Hummmm Time to grind some Beans. I mean, it's not like i need to go to work in the morning. Soon, this cave will reek of Nitro 9 solvent.5 points

Guys, this is someone's advertisement. If you don't like the price, then don't buy them. That is pretty simple and does not require you to post comments and chatter. Why not show some respect and let him to do his business.5 points

It is my very sad duty to inform the Klipsch community of the passing of our forum brother, Douglas Edwards. I received a phone call just before 10:00 pm from Dee's wife informing me of the sad news. I am in shock. I've lost my best friend. I'll post details as they become available. Tony4 points

Happy Monday guys. Have a couple appointments today but nothing exciting. Would like to extend the holidays through January. (Start a petition drive??) Best I can do is persuade Better Half Unit to leave decorations up till next weekend. The rest of yesterday was good after hospital visits .... watched the Broncos4 points

New to me Vizio M652i-B2 for my new space. Found it locally on craigslist, 9 months old like new with original box and accessories. Very happy with how it turned out. It is the 2014 M-Series so it doesn't have 4K, which is fine with me. I'm actually surprised with the PQ, deeper blacks than my 50" plasma. The local dimming feature is a must have on a LED IMO.4 points

Afternoon all. Different sort of a day ... visited 2 friends in 2 different hospitals. It's good to do stuff like that but ya hate to see people hurting. On the other hand, we're home now and we did what we could. Prayers for our friends. MKP ... sorry about your mom. Mine went through the same thing a few years ago. You're doing what you can. I wasn't going to list these here because I am trying to get top dollar to offset the Jubilee and TAD driver purchases I have recently made. Since there is a thread in the alert section with pics, I have decided after seeing fellow forum members express interest to make a forum offer here. I usually only offer up something here for good deals but I didn't want a fellow forum member to bid on something I am selling on ebay. So, if one of you guys/girls were really interested, I will sell to a forum member (not someone that joins today) for $3900. Yes, I know that is high for this forum but better that than bidding on ebay. These are really rare. I really don't want to sell but I still have my Brazilian Rosewood Klipschorns and now the Jubilees with the 402 horns taking up way too much space in my 2 bedroom abode.3 points

Stupid computer posted the previous post when my palm hit the 'enter' key I guess .... was trying to say we watched the Broncos win over SD and a movie on HT. That's all the excitement this old fart needed for one day. Cheers ya'll.3 points

Not this time. As you can see from my profile, I have enough Klipsch. Besides, it is 4 hours round trip for something I don't "need". Though I do miss my previous two pairs of Quartets. Bill3 points

Now my comment has to do with the fact i grew up on using/owning never anything less than a 5Hp. I now own that same EXACT Porter Cable, we know, as long as we take our time, and keep in mind PotMetal/Plastic offerings for the American home handyman > Absolutly sucks. But we must get by, and somehow we do.3 points

Anyway........ Mark....let me tell ya, we don't run out of coffee....ever.... The Boss is all over it. If it's less than two pounds in the stash she's on it... She has a deal worked out with the local DD manager..... When she goes to get coffee it's a 100 bones.... This is the Boss's coffee stash.... four accross.....four deep....and the one lone de-caf..... Check in later... MKP :-) GUILTY... However I was not prepared for the broken friggin coffee pot. When Mark said we will stop for coffee on the way to work, I said I am going to the store NOW...show stopper... We have shopped for coffee pots for years. Just like toasters. You find one you like but the reviews are bad. Sometimes I think people just want to b!tch, but sometimes the bad reviews are right. Every coffee pot we have gotten over the last 20 years has cost more than $150. None have lasted more than a couple years. This time I win. Got a Mr coffee basic 12 cup pot for $15. DONE. maybe I will buy another one for a back-up. Maybe another grinder too. Self insurance Did MKP :-) ever tell you that he did not drink coffee before hooking up with me? Lol3 points

The way it was explained to me is that the compression chamber is similar to a mouthpiece on a trumpet. The sound starts off high pressure low volume and ends up low pressure high volume.2 points

Every member that passes on leaves such a void. Thankful for the time we have spent with each of you! Boxx, Oldbuckster and now Daddy Dee....such a huge hole in my heart!2 points

I never met Boxx in person, but what a cool character he was, and it showed in his post's and thread reply's. A lot of wisdom and direction he gave as he had just about owned it all, from tons of McIntosh equip all the way to Jubs. etc.etc. He never had a "my way or the highway" POV. We all could use more of this.2 points

It doesn't seem like a year, his picture is still hanging in the clubhouse in AR. Boxx was one of the good guys, wish I could have met him in person. Thanks Tasdom2 points

Spin some Pink Floyd, one of his favorites. Thanks Tasdom, Kevin was a great guy!2 points

The only thing I think is odd about conversations like this is when people try to crap on other people’s choices as if saying so makes them feel smart. With every purchase there’s somebody who thinks you’re an idiot for signing on the dotted line. This includes stereo equipment. Get over it. Each one of us is into different stuff and we all have our reasons for being like that. Trying to take a dump in somebody elses Wheaties and put down their choices only makes you look like a jackass. I'm sure I'm as guilty as anybody but I'm not sure why people feel the need to do this.2 points

I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel fortunate to have actually met him. May he rest in peace. This is just another reason for everyone to try and make it to the gathering. Without events like this, I never would have had the honor of meeting Dee.2 points

It is very similar, it has the traditional blue finish, with a kind of crackle finish underneath. I also am still running them in 16 ohms, with matching K-77's replacing the university. That was probably the best investment I've made for entertainment purposes. I was listening to Taj Mahal tonight and it was like he was playing in my game room. Hope all is well in Michgan. I will see if I took pics of the woofers, for some reason I think I did.2 points

The same group also owns Ferrari and Maserati but you don't hear people whining about that. The Jeep transmissions are actually the same ones that were in $750,000 Mercedes supercars. I have zero complaints about mine other than the tire pressure gauge is finnicky.2 points
