Good morning coffee crew :emotion-44: That Archie tune and seeing that cereal box really bring back memories for me...... Was that not the "bubble gum" music craze also ? Enjoy your day eveyone............us worker bees will join in with our tasks ......................g6 points

did you know that Don Kirshner intended that song for The Monkees and Mike Nesmith drew a line in the sand and refused to sing it. Pretty amazing in that the song spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and now lists at number 73 on Billboard's Greatest Songs of All Time. The song was also classified as a "gold record" by the RIAA in August of 1969. Then to top it off, you could get a copy of the record on the back of a cereal box too (along with that free Jughead hat). .6 points

Hello again Steve. GLAD you caught the tribute photos and such Oh, the wall bracket.......well, it was really pretty easy... The only thing I may have goofed a little on was the height.. Well, that was Chris who was complaining about his neck ... But, I mentioned that with my progressive glasses, I look up with my eyes and not my head, so I was able to watch the 2.5 hour concert without troubles... Again, I could have lowered it a bit, but I was afraid of hiding the thermostat, so I erred for more height to clear it..........win some, loose some. Pezz will give me his critique when he comes here next month for M.A.D. I just won't say anything and see what he thinks after a while Probably won't be viewing much anyway, as it is a MUSIC listening session rather then a movie or video thing... ....guess I went on long enough about the mount huh ? Glad you got some 'guitar' playin' in to lift your spirits ......and coming to Music Hall for an M.A.D. with your friends here would also help (hint, hint ) Ok, off to watch my show online..........then heading for the rack.. Good night from the cold and windy NE.. ...............g6 points

No. I was close early in December; but, it wasn’t in stock and i’m too impatient. Then decided to wait until after I had purchased the kids/grandkids’ Christmas gifts. Been in a funk ever since ... so nothing new. Broke out the still mint condition Strat and enjoyed that for awhile yesterday.6 points

Yes it's a bit chilly, 56 and sunny here, considered a jacket. I want to laugh, but my face is frozen I have a feeling this cold burst is heading south to you all I have never seen 0 degrees, at -20 I would be looking to move. Just use to mild winters that's all, but we pay for it in the summer.6 points

Got an E-Ticket to a colonoscopy ride on Wednesday, and an encore with the dentist on Thursday. Well Carl was right, that's up alright. Between the two appointments I don't know which ones worse, One I am scared of, dentist and the other I have never had. I hope those doctors don't get his appointments mixed up.5 points

Here is a pic of one of my two TFM-15 Carver amps on top of my LaScallas. Based on the amount out sound that little amp puts out, I can only imagine what it's big brothers can produce. More than I need. Both have new caps and relays. Roger, if you were 15 in '80 then I am older than you and that upsets me. Not sure why, but it does.4 points

Mornin' all. Snowy morning in Colorado but shouldn't amount to much. Steve ... welcome back. You've been missed. Bunch of media hype out here on Manning vs. Brady. Will admit I'm excited about the game but think I'll ignore the media B.S. the rest of the week. Enjoy the day and cheers.4 points

A true supergroup. Rare when all band members also have (or have had) successful solo careers. RIP4 points

When I was 14 my dad sat me down and made me watch Hell Freezes Over lazer disc and I understood. Lots of car rides, drinks and late nights listening to Eagles records. So sad to hear this today. RIP3 points

The great ones go in threes. There's still 2 weeks left. Maybe we are done for the immediate future. I know that it wasn't in 2016; however, it was less than three weeks ago that Natalie Cole died on December 31, 2015.3 points

RIP Glenn Frey, most of us are sad..... "Most of us are sad" - written by Glenn Frey Most of us are sad No one lets it show I've been shadows of myself How was I to know? Tell me, scarlet sun What will time allow? We have brought our children here Who can save them now? Weeping woman, try to smile Like the coming dawn Most of us are sad, it's true Still we must go on Love was here today Oh, the sun was bright I will sing you faraway Love is here tonight RIP as you move on to an after life since you will no longer be waking up to this life after drinking tequila all night. "Tequila Sunrise" - written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley It's another tequila sunrise Starin' slowly 'cross the sky, said goodbye He was just a hired hand Workin' on the dreams he planned to try The days go by Ev'ry night when the sun goes down Just another lonely boy in town And she's out runnin' 'round She wasn't just another woman And I couldn't keep from comin' on It's been so long Oh, and it's a hollow feelin' when It comes down to dealin' friends It never ends Take another shot of courage Wonder why the right words never come You just get numb It's another tequila sunrise, this old world still looks the same, Another frame, mm... 2014 Los Angeles 1980s 1970s 1973 mug shot .3 points

Greetings! Been getting emails and messages from both forum members and people in real life checking on me. Seems that my self-imposed exile from society has been noticed. Figured I should force myself to break out of this melancholy and say something. I’m alive and secluded in an undisclosed location. Finally picked up a guitar on Saturday and again yesterday. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year is off to a great start. May be back later … I’m getting tired of talking to myself. Regards, Steve3 points

I've been away for several days on a hunting trip with my son, and I come back to see this thread, which unless I missed something, is the first dedicated thread asking for donations for gifts for Ms. Valerie. Why such a negative, chastising tone? I suspect that many did not see the post asking for donations buried in the "well wishes" thread. It would seem that to get the best response for donations, a new thread would be started explaining the situation in a positive manner, with perhaps a little more definition for what is being planned with the donations. I realize that managing a fundraising campaign is a chore, but updating current total contributions received and a listing of the donors (not necessarily the amounts by each donor) goes a long way to provide some visibility and transparency to the project. That said, I am in for a donation, but I can see how some could be rubbed the wrong way by the first post in this thread.2 points

We are hopeful that Ms.Valerie will be in good enough health to meet with us in May. On our previous meetings with Ms. Valerie she gave denim shirts with the Klipsch logo, commemorative glasses for Paul's birthday and other memorabilia to us. I'll post a pic of the denim shirts soon. How can we not give back to someone that has treated us so graciously? Time to pay it forward!2 points

No. You have a problem. It is likely the crossovers need some attention. You'll get plenty of advice here and I'm leaving it to our experts. Welcome to the madness. Once you get those things right you'll hear music like never before. PWK's designs need nothing but a smidgeon of clean power to take your breath away. Dave2 points
