  3. Mornin' guys. Had a fine Sunday, especially with great Broncos/Peyton win. Denver was rockin' after that one. Duder - looking good in the new duds. Ceptorman ...appreciate your comments on Payton in the other thread. I get sick of the media negativity, including that in yesterday's pre-game analysis/predictions by CBS's "experts'. Coffee drinkers .. Tragedy averted ...Better Half Unit procured a new coffee maker to replace the one that croaked. The only questions are where in the back yard to bury the departed coffee maker and who will conduct the service. Have a great day everyone. Back later.

  6. Iv NOT owned a suit in well over 20 years, when the Daughters wedding came up, you see they placed this irishman in A KILT! Irishmen wear pants! But the son-in-law was scottish, and it was the daughters wedding, and they did buy everything, sooo, i figured what the hell. You look better in that suit Duder, thank god the only other memory of seeing you was the reflection in the coffee pot way back when

  15. I'm trying to imagine being at my death bed and wondering why I wasted my time discussing food, and good health with other people, instead of spending all day posting pictures of hipsters in meat helmets? Instead, imagine why you'll be alone.
    3 points
  16. I would like to think that when you are on your deathbed, a fleeting thought of meat helmets will come to you and you will laugh, or maybe manage a little smile. Then when you die with a smile on your face, others will speculate what the cause was, never imagining it was meat helmets.

  17. I couldn't agree more! Seems like there's a bit more of that around here lately, so I'm making a call for action! Let's all start new build threads or purchase something new and maybe we can distract em!

  18. Your right, no thug mentality, I would think his dad had a rough enough time taking a beating as the quarterback of the saints back then. His family was close and I guess dad kept them out of trouble and interested in football, sure paid off.

  20. "Better Half Unit" or BHU….like that I'm a huge Manning fan, even the whole family. He's a classy guy, and probably the most respected player in the league, and being the GOAT doesn't hurt either. There's a children's hospital here in Indy with his name on it. Between Peyton, Eli, and their Dad, they contributed 20 million to start this hospital. He still has a lot of ties to Indy, and is back in town many times a year, usually for a charitable event. In this era of gang banger, thug, wife beatin, drug addicted millionaire athletes, it's refreshing to see guys like Manning do what they do. I'd say they had good parents.

  23. Yeah you can't go by their sizes off the rack. I always measured two inches less than my shoulders fit.

  24. Fine to a 1/4 inch long. But you will be wearing a shirt that will take up some slack.

  26. Out suit jacket shopping, dont know if i trust the sales associates opinion. So i thought i would come to where i know i can trust opinions. Anyways its a 44 long, my wife says that the sleeves look a little long. But whrn i tried on a 46 regular, the sleeves seemed fine but the shoulders seemed to big. 29. Absolutely. I know some folks that must have been pushed through the system........make quota or something. I trained under some surgeons who "wrote the chapters" in staple surgical books. They were terrible in the OR. So yes......they way I pick surgeons out for my family is a different process than the way a non-medical field person picks one out. ---------- On another note....regarding ulcers...abuse of NSAIDS. Eat a hole right through the gut. Aint got nuthin to do with H. pylori. Happens all the time. Oh...and I'll probably drink some beer tonight with some skillet fried-up rice and beans from my lovely "Magdalena" from Nicaragua. She comes twice a week.

  30. I think you may have forgotten all of the other time you have wasted arguing and pontificating on other subjects as well. Surely your superior intellect would have you contributing to more worthy causes, and not bothering with us low life obese geezers, right? Or is it just within your nature to be the bully?

  33. Great! That's actually the common experience of almost everyone I talk to in the "fresh food" world. The bad diet of manufactured foods does in fact lead to a "come-like" existence. Because their diet is actually sapping energy, even when they eat three times what they should. You're one of the lucky ones to have seen the light. In my experience the closer you get to a BMI of 20, the better you will feel and that is both physically and mentally. What a remarkable change!

  34. However, wanting to eat too much of a food that one knows is bad for one's health is a stupid move. Unless it's bacon.

  35. Things have been going great. I've lost 20 lbs in the last 6 months (of course I've also been running about 8 miles each day) and its like a "fog" has lifted. Even though I've reduced my total caloric intake by about 1/3 and started running and lifting light weights along with sit ups each day, I actually have more energy. Not only that but I find myself watching TV less and reading more, even just plain thinking about things more than I use to, its almost like coming out of a coma.

  38. Well, then, to further your premise, why don't these stupid people cut down on salt? Apparently (and it is true), food-makers are making food extra salty to increase consumption. Therefore, to lower consumption, avoid it. Nobody is forcing anyone to eat a bag of Doritos. How about an apple, some broccoli, or rice? It doesn't taste as "yummy?" Well, boo-dee-hoo-hoo.

  39. Morning gang Coffee fired up, second pot, wife and i cleaning up after four day partying. Carrot Cake for breakfast, till we make a town run later, (ordered in a full rack of single Malt). I notice the more "Elegant" living areas of the upper class, do have one fine selection of single malts. Rick comes in this afternoon, we leave for Arz on Tue. We will let the housekeeper have the day off, iv a feeling she will need it after the wife "Assisted" her into her abode last night, she was bombed. The housekeeper was well taken care of by the bar tender of the Hyatt, yeah, for like four hours of drinkin!! Happy Monday Workers.............

  45. Afternoon gang..... Well yesterday was quite a day....I must say all that snow really gave the mighty Wheel Horse snow blower a real workout....it took me all day to do the drive way...at least two hours down by the road were the plows piled up the snow.... the snow was well over the top of the blower inlet...... The one used car guy was already at the shop at 9:30 with his tractor and blower set up....he was 1/2 way done....I was going to meet him there but I still had to dig out my CRV and trailer....not going to happen.... Well Stoney and his brother Boney has had the best seat for the weekend....they haven't moved a whole lot.....just chilling on the futon by the fire.... Check-in later got to do some digging....
