  2. Happy Friday gang. Back to slaving in the yard again, at least for a while before the heat sets in. One big plus we have here is low humidity, so I should survive. Chuck ...good luck with the floor ... Mark ...thanks for the update. Will try to check back in a while.

  3. The tile floor snickered at the tile breaker Incremental progress though. The first worker was a no show. The second came and looked at it and declined. The third brought his tile breaker and worked for an hour and quit. So I called a tile worker and carefully explained the floor composition....an inch of mortar, metal lathe, thin set, tile. He says he is not scared He has heavier tools for the job. Cost is an unknown Looking forward to having coffee with akdave Saturday morning while he is here in the Port City

  5. Oh, made 1st half of '99. GM had a body style/engine change midway '99 as I recall. I also have a '99 but mine is 6.0L Gen III and its a badass fuel gulper.

  10. I thought every year was a huge change, and a new vote for truck of the year, and higher prices to justify all the huge improvements.

  12. Glad to hear this, it should make watching her a little easier. I know this has not been easy on everyone but in the long run you all will be glad you did it and had this time, everyone should have people who care for them when it's there time.

  13. Good ol Merican iron!I've heard that all the employees at certain Honda plants in Japan wear white overalls. At the end of the day the employees are inspected on their way out of the factory. If the boss sees grease or dirty clothing, it sets off a red flag, they don't want to see anybody dirty. They also start their day off in the parking lot doing exercises to warm up their body…..a more efficient employee. Yea Mr. Honda didn't want dirty employees.....and I'm with him.... I don't like getting dirty....I mean yea I do get dirty but I wash my hands countless times a day.... if I spill something I stop what I'm doing and clean it.I've had people tell me that I'm the cleanest mechanic they have ever seen, people have commented on how clean my shop is....it's just they I am. Could you see the owner of a $50k RL with dirty finger prints on his car.... I think a lot has to do that I was a avaition mechanic in the Army and when I got out I worked on the Baltimore City Police helicopters for awhile. Oh yea and I exercise everyday and during the day... MKP :-) I think being clean is a good sign, no matter what your occupation is.

  16. Excellent topic! +++ Mustang Guy and I recently moved 180 pound Khorns fully assembled (top hat on) in an upright position using a 5x8 enclosed Uhaul trailer. That was a $20 one-day rental. It is a two-person job to load and unload easily. https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/5x8-Cargo-Trailer-Rental/AV/ If you have a Reese hitch this is highly recommended.

  23. Is it a lie if he puts in the new speakers and she doesn't notice? Seriously, I don't think he is going to lie to his wife. His saying that he will be telling her a tale is just boy talk for us guys on the forum. I always tell my wife the truth...eventually.

  24. Go MUSTANG !! All those Ford ecoboosts are making great power these days. Look at what most police are driving these days! (Explorers with up to 365hp!) For those into links, I included one. The Explorer 'Interceptor' is pretty hot looking and so is the Dodge Durango for that matter... http://code3.jalopnik.com/what-the-police-spec-2016-ford-explorer-has-that-your-m-1685166241

  32. We used 1" straps which thread through the square tie-down slots which are all around the inside of the Uhaul so there are plenty of options to secure the straps inside the trailer. The straps were hand tightened lightly then hand-tied. The Khorns went as far forward in the trailer as possible, upright. I don't remember the L/R orientation, maybe Craig can remember, but the blankets were taped and the speakers secured against each other away from the side walls. We rented eight heavy duty Uhaul blankets for $10. These are large, very clean and heavy duty thick felt. One blanket will completely cover one speaker, so 8 blankets were too much. The blanket was wrapped around the outside of the speaker using heavy-duty clear 3M shipping tape. We had a small $20 furniture dolly but it was more convenient to simply but carefully lift the speaker into into the trailer, and lift or scoot it on a blanket to move it within the trailer. The dolly is very helpful for rolling the speaker for longer distances. It was useful and recommended, but not essential.

  34. I fell in love with the looks of the IIs because of the wood and the copper cones. I think if I go with the IIs I'd keep the grills off at all times as to not hide their beauty. Not the case with the Is.

  37. Both goalies in this final have proven their worth. Amazing that they are both extremely young and for the most part untested. I know Jones was a back up in L.A. but he didn't get many starts behind Quick, and Murray is standing on his head for the Pens. I love watching a good goalie dual.

  39. So cost around 10k. Most speakers retail @ 200% of cost so 20K would be reasonable then.

  40. The music device you referenced is designed to prey on the heightened emotions and insecurities of new parents with false promises of more intelligent children. Don't fall for it. Your child will be beautiful, and pink, and have all her fingers and toes, and will be OK in life because she will grow up in stable family with two parents who love her. How do I know this? Because for 94 babies out of 100 that's how it works. Thanks WVU80! We are truly blessed and am happy we are at a point in our lives we are ready and able to have children. As for the device, the OP was written with a heavy dose of sarcasm due to its absurdity. I mean, exposing your unborn baby to a crappy dome and cone single driver and having him be born thinking that is 'normal'. No way.

  41. Chuck look at your local rental shop for a electric breaker. They are similar to the hammer drill but a little larger. They run off of 110 so no need for an air compressor. One might consider it an electric jack hammer. Or rent a 185 cfm air compressor and 100' of air hose along with a 90 lb breaker, that will get it down. https://www.zoro.com/bosch-breaker-hammer-1-18-in-hex-120v-15-amps-bh2760vcb/i/G3531385/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwhN-6BRCJsePgxru9iIwBEiQAI8rq86tI8o8TXY0q0Mg7oW8aWVuk9yb0pWNz-kfWMkDatdYaAszN8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

  43. The input sensitivity running the EF86 is 1.32v to full output in the Genesis6. Sensitivity is slightly lower (1.55v to full output) running the E80F in the same Genesis6. As long as any directly connected source capable of the industry standard CD Player output voltage (2.0v) will easily be able to drive the Genesis6 to full output. Optionally, the Genesis6 can be ordered with the 6AU6 Input/Driver instead of the EF86. This Pentode allows for an input sensitivity of 1.10v to full output in the Genesis6 for those customers who would like to connect a typical MM Phono-Stage directly to the Genesis6 without the need for an active Line-Stage. Although the stocks of N.O.S. 6AU6's do not seem to be dwindling, this is NOT the standard configuration of the Genesis6 as there is no current-production 6AU6 being manufactured. Sonically, it's a coin-flip, both versions running great examples of either tube type yield outstanding results.. TS Matt.
