Morning all..... Merry Christmas to all my CC&C buds... I really enjoy the hanging out with you guys... Just catching up on the posts... looks like all is doing good.. Bruce, glad to here your back to work If I had a plate like that in front of me I'd be happy too..... Yea Chuck that's some fine dinning Well no mob at this house today... Just our youngest daughter, her boyfriend and dog stayed over last night. Stony & Boney were not real happy about that.. My daughter's boyfriend left with the dog just a minutes ago. Were all going up to The BOSS's moms house in a bit. The mob will be over there. However the mob will not come all at once. We can't have everyone at once cuz The BOSS's mom gets worked up if there a lot of people in the house. She tries to get up and do stuff and then when she can't get up she gets frustrated... We just gotta keep mom calm.. OK gang... I'll check back later, again a Merry Christmas to all.... enjoy the day... MKP :-)5 points

Merry Christmas C&C friends. Kicking back before the Mob with Eugene Ormandy and Philly orchestra playing the Glorious Sounds of Christmas on the Cornwalls. The recording is so old that my parents had it on vinyl way back when. Blessings of the Season to each of you. Chuck4 points

Merry Christmas! My cat is mad at me today, came in his 'cat door' with a squirrel (live). I didn't want the bloodbath so practiced 'catch & release'. Got the squirrel out of the house, cat went after it outside. Grabbed cat, brought him back in, shut house door. He immediately went to his cat door to look for squirrel so, I locked it. He spent the next 10 minutes essentially pounding on the door to get it to open. Now he's sitting over there with his back to me (instead of sitting on desk in front of me) He's not speaking to me this morning. The squirrel got a Pardon today. Merry Christmas to the Squirrel.4 points

You might find those sound better if you position them in corners, not edge-to-edge in the middle of the kitchen. Just a Christmas thought. +++ You have Khorns, willing to trade for Cornwalls. Scrappy has Cornwalls, and wants Khorns. I love this place.3 points

You could try something like this and build a nice decorative wooden box around it, a la crown molding. Bill2 points

That's what I was afraid of. If there were any way I could have made the surrounds work I would have been all over it, but a combination of lower ceilings and doors, built ins and large windows have made it all but impossible. I guess I'll just look for a pair of rs or ksf surrounds in good condition and be happy I have the space to fit those in. Regards and happy holidays!2 points

Chuck, the finger is getting better, thanks. Thursday I went to Ortho Dr, his nurse had to cut the skin to get to the stitches, wasn't fun. He said it looks good, expect some "deadness" because I severed a nerve. An operation to splice that nerve back is iffy because it's so close to the end of it's length, I chose not to operate. I have to keep it splinted and wrapped for 2-3 more weeks. I did manage to build my Wife's barn door for a closet. I used inexpensive pine, distressed it, then stained it with a mix of 75% dark walnut/25% red mahogany blend. I did one coat of clear satin poly. I wanted to try to get a gray weathered wood look, but my experiments with different colored stains didn't turn out well. I still have to fills some holes and paint the trim....here's a pic.2 points
