10 or 20 years, you must have high hopes of most even being around, you forgot the ages of many. If we go 20 more years we will be putting pictures of our new walkers and wheelchairs if were lucky. Tarheel of course will have wheelchair with a sidecar for his latest LF, Carl will have one with a martini holder.5 points

Yes I've been talking to some folks about moving the Pilgrimage closer to the east coast. You think if I drove 14 hours in one of those little cars I would be able to unfold? The BMW spent the night at the shop. I like to start off my cars with all fresh fluids. I also need some rubber windshield gaskets as the original ones are brittle. Amazon has them. I wish they had an under carriage wash. Can't leave home today as FedEx is delivering the title and I have to sign for it. Going to be almost 80 degrees here today3 points

Center grill ? = '68 and earlier.................Divided grill? That started in '69 and later, and remained the 'trademark' look throughout the plateforms, and not just the F-85 / Cutlass for years to come... (just me two cents, I owned a '68 W-29 for 12 years and learned pretty much everything Oldsmobile back in the day....)3 points

OK folks, I just need to let you know that I have had an amazing response to this, and since posts here are sequenced and time stamped, the first person that states here in public AND sends me a PM saying I'll take them, will get them, pending payment. I just don't want there to be any misunderstandings or hard feelings. Thanks very much. BTW, I will not have these posted anywhere other than here on the forum. Would like to keep them in the family.3 points

OK kids, here we go with another item from the vault.....a pair of 1976 La Scalas that sound absolutely fantastic. Fully rehabbed by me over the period of a few months, a labor of love for sure, but time to let them go. Cabinets were coated with two coats of Duratex. They look great. Crites CT-125 tweeters K55M mid drivers - horns damped with Dynamat, and horn painted with Rustoleum Canyon Black. Eminence Kappa 15C woofers Crites A/4500 crossovers All drivers have new hookup wires Cabinets are solid and physically sound. Laser badges!! Located in N. Indiana. Happy to audition. $950, paypal preferred. Please PM me with any more questions or interest. Thanks for looking. This is a very sweet pair of La Scalas...2 points

Raining like crazy down here SW Chicago burbs. I've got the Rf7ii's ripping some Melloncamp Greatest Hits. I just can't listen to the RF7ii's and not crank it up. They are so clean, love their capabilities in a large room.2 points

Single cabinet. Thanks, my son in law is now taking over as I'm back home now. I just went over last weekend to turn the plywood into a subwoofer. He'll do all the finish work on it.2 points

Well it does but your lifestyle may be different ? But you are in good shape, for an old dude.2 points

i saw that pair on ebay with the backs removed... i would stay away from those, especially for that price. the epic series cabinets are built very nice, not like the klf's & KG's, the backs on these should not have came off like that for any reason i can think of & he doesnt explain why. & they are difinitely V2 or maybe even 3 based on the looks of the ports, not worth $1075 shipped IMO. i have shipped quite a few large speakers over the years & tons of large car parts, i would suggest buying some boxes from places like u-haul & wrapping the speakers with 1" thick pink insulation board, along with some extra thick cardboard wrapped tightly on the corners, then you can fit the boxes over them & stuff any gaps or spaces with heavy packing paper or the small tight bubble wrap that you can get free from furniture stores that they ship mattresses in. thats what i do for large or custom size items & have never had any issues... just dont use UPS! i think they have gorillas there that they have jump up & down on valuable items no matter how well packed! fedex is usually great at handling large items.2 points

`Maybe you could arrange a Pony Express thing where members each took them on a leg. Of course, just like ponies, Scalas need to rest, so they would need to spend a week or so at each stop along the way. You might not see them until 2020, but what matters is that they would be safe and rested.2 points

I must say I am a little alarmed that you are still peeping in my windows after frequent police reports.2 points

I hear you...Today I gifted to a buddy a digital Panasonic SA-XR25 digital HT receiver to use with his Super Cornwalls (made by a member on this Forum with a larger box for even more bass) since his Outlaw 1050 lost a channel... Hooked up another digital Panasonic SA-XR55 for a second system at the GF's to go with her KSB 1.1s... And I get to make both of them happy and get some of the stuff that wasn't getting any airtime at my house so it was a win-win-WIN Bill2 points

You guys should start a club then. Send me my membership packet in 10 or 20 years. Oh wait, you'll never remember...............................2 points

Low power and powerful bass are not mutually exclusive at all!!! There are many considerations before you get into flea power after living with a high power ultralinear design. Definitely post in the tubes section... Maynard2 points

My father was overweight and smoked for years. I never smoked (cigarettes) and played soccer for 38 years and was an avid runner till my last knee surgery when I was 52 (hurt it playing soccer). All that being said, I may not make as many birthdays as he did. Well in that case you need to be in charge since you might outlast most. Your right about the birthday thing, who knows, it's the perfect reason to have fun now.1 point

Yes easy, we will just get some good looking lady to walk past right after you pull up, you will pop out the car in 2 seconds, want to or not, it's just you it would be second nature, a natural reaction.1 point

OK, I'll talk you out of them and save you! "man, those Khorns sound unbelievable, and you'll never, ever find another pair with those special mid-drivers at that low price." Rats...failed again.1 point

I have plenty of left over veneer. I will glue up several samples and start experimenting with finishes. Jerry1 point

Rejuvenating oil makes klipsch walnut pretty deep with a hint of red. I can't comment on your particular veneer, that's why I'm hoping you have some scrap pieces.1 point
