  1. My wife use to wear cut-off overalls with no shirt years ago. The bib was too small to cover and support private areas. It was somewhat embarrassing when people stared at us. I told her to quit wearing the army boots and people would quit staring.

  2. Funny stuff. I've been threatening to buy a pair of overalls for the last two winters. Each time I standing at the rake I can't pull the trigger. I always think Rodney looks mighty dapper in his overalls with a plaid shirt underneath. Maybe I'll bring a pair to Hope this year ?!?

  6. Nah. My grandfather was a typewriter repairman. He was a total wizard at it and could rebuild them all. I don't remember ever seeing him in anything else. A good man, he was.

  14. It's a Cinema F-20. Digs one or two Hz lower than a THT, is just as efficient and clean. It's also infinitely easier to build and the plans are free. This is the 3'rd one I've built.

  15. Pretty much spot on, that's why I've stopped giving suggestions. He seems nice enough but I can't follow all the different directions he's going. In the time this thread has been opened, I've built and my son in law has veneered a sub. Have a goal and build or buy to the goal. It's pretty simple.

  22. The JBL room gets some new friends. L200T3 ultra rare, manufactured in 1990 only, consumer versions of the 4425 studio monitors. In the background are 240Ti's I just got a few weeks ago.

  32. It took several [4] years for the one on our stove to burn off. They use some tough stuff to make those stickers I was kinda sad when it went. Like when they took the giant Then Yield to All Traffic sign from under the biggest STOP sign I had ever seen at mall parking lot exit

  35. Hello. I googled "how much are Klipsch speakers worth" and low and behold I found there is a whole community (a big one it looks like) of Klipsch aficionados. I am impressed. I bought a pair of HWLs in 1983 (I think) when I had more money than I knew what to do with. And I always loved stereo equipment. Most teenage guys had the Farrah Fawcett poster in her red swim suit. I had pictures that I'd cut out of magazines of Nakamichi, Bose, Klipsch, etc. equipment. I still love the sound of music, but my wife wants me to sell my pair (of speakers). They still sound as good as always. There are some surface scratches, particularly the bottoms. But the fronts, backs, tops, and sides are in pretty decent shape. I can only load 2MB worth of pics, so I'll start with these two. If someone is interested, I can post more. Oh, and if it matters, the backs have never been opened and the serial numbers are sequential. I would also love to know what you all think these might be worth, even if there's no buyer her. That way I could try Craigslist or eBay. Thank you. Pete

  36. Having an idea what you want to build and WHY helps a lot. youre searching for overseas drivers when u know full well at avs there are 21s 24s and 18s with builds capable of doing ANYTHING im rarily critical and try to stay out of your threads but i cant tell if you just want attention? you have multiple threads here and at avs and have gotten some of the best minds from both to respond. you are losing credibility changing your mind constantly....imo you have no idea what you want...if u did u would say i want xxxx and you would have it i challenge you to articulate what exactly youre trying to do nobody can tell and im surprised youre still being taken seriously i apologize if this seems rude but ive never seen anything quite like this...a half dozen threads and not one with a goal am i out of line suggesting this?

  37. That's an odd experience, considering the RF-82's are better speakers in build and quality. They should have run all over the R-28F's and should have outshined them even in a surround position.

  39. An advantage of growing up in NYC, saw my first concert in 1973 when I was 13 years old. James Taylor at Saint John's University, back in the days when your parents would let you walk a mile and a half to and from the concert at night.
