  1. The Blues always make for good photo subjects. Their "Noises" most definitely piss off some neighbors. Others Embrace it! I truly hope that you guys enjoyed the show. Since someone will probably ask about what they're seeing in the pic. As you approach the speed of sound, air molecules build up on the leading edges and parts of the aircraft that are making it difficult for the air molecules to smoothly flow around them, so the molecules build up like a wall (think perpendicular) until they can slow enough to move past that wall of buildup. In this pic, the temp and humidity are such that you don't see the more common cloud of visible vapor, you see the light bending in the water immediately behind the wall. Think of looking through a magnifying glass from a side view. I take a lot of photos at air shows and this one was taken at San Francisco Fleet week some yeas ago. I'm so fortunate the humidity is relatively low in my sound room ;)~ btw- If you see this phenomena on your speaker cones, you've turned it up too loud.

They have new crites AA cross overs installed but you get the original cross overs included in the purchase. I am selling all my speakers with one idea in mind....Jubilee! (So the reference RF82ii in the pictures are also for sale) Located Detroit metro area. Could I get $2400 for them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Hi, Thought i would introduce myself, as i'm new here and from England so a little different im guessing from average! A little history. I come from an all Naim setup (very english) with revel m106 speakers, long story short i had a few reliability issues which i wont go into as i dont want to bad mouth the brand as they did everything possible to help me out and wouldn't put anyone off owning the brand as it does sound stellar when all working correctly. Anyhow the experience left a somewhat bad taste in my mouth. So i was able to sell my gear and return the parts that weren't working for a full refund. Firstly i just swapped out the amp and dac with a class A Sugden a21 signature and Chord Qutest dac (again about as english as you can get) with the hope of keeping the wonderful revel m106's. Alas, Even though the 106's sounded great through the Sugden, chord combo it wasn't able to take command of the revels in the same way the Naim could! SO the hunt began for some new speakers! Luckily my dealer had just started stocking the heritage line so i went about demoing the Heresy 3 and Forte 3's and eventually settled on the Heresy's. The bass, is more than deep enough for my room. Really don't know what some of you gents and girls are talking about in regards to bass, in my system there full, fat and fast with no bloat what so ever! Yes you don't get that last octave but if your coming from standmounts and/or small floor standers then thats the bass your going to get again more important things as far as im concerned. And no i wont take them off the floor, tried it, sounded awful! They need all the boundaries and are clearly designed for it. As for the sound with the Sugden and chord in tow, the Heresy sound is clean and airy, not bright though! with none of the wall of sound people keep referring too yes its big and room filling but they're far more precise than that. They actually image incredibly well and up there with the Revels in the at regard (no mean feet). Detail isn't as strong as the Revels but i can still clearly follow everything in and around the track. With the amps 23 watts giving more than enough head room to make them sing, really sing. The amp delivers a fatigue free sound that one can listen to for hours. Bad and good recording sound great but you do know your listening to lesser recording when played. and perfectly mirrors the Heresy's sound while giving them bass heft needed. though the Sugden like the volume up a touch more than normal to get the sound come alive a little more. For those who wish to know what the dac sounds like! It's basically a chord hugo2 with none of the portability functions, amp, battery, cross feed and so on. And because of it, it sounds far better. The sound is light footed with an easy flowing nature, nothing "digital" about it. Its very organic, again its not bright but has plenty of detail on tap makes "death from above 1979" sound less compressed and easier follow than my naim dac. The bass hummmm, its the best ive heard at this price delivered with ease and starts and stops on a penny. Its simple honest hifi. I guess thats the word for this dac, Honest nothing, hidden if its there it played but never fatiguing it very finely judged. If you don't think dac's can make a difference then fine im not hear to say other wise, but if you want to listen to one, IMO its one of the best sounding dac's on the market, don't hesitate to demo one. Yes its expensive but i believe you get what you pay for. For those that may be wondering with this combo the dac needs to be set to its 1V setting, one! too allow for greater control of the volume control and two, the amps full power is reached far to early on the volume at around 9 o'cloc when set to 2V. As for Cables, im not a "believer", they either make a difference or not it's not a faith. I know for a fact they do, BUT! its tuning and thats all . Its not a drastic change and also its not always the most expensive cables that make a difference, sometimes its the £2 per meter 79 strand somtimes its the £30 a meter stuff they all make a difference good or bad some amps and compoents are completely indifferent. In my case for this system, Atlas hyper cables made massive difference over my linn k20 ( cheap as chips over here and was perfect for the naim) and QED interconnects . But im not hear to start a cable debate, as with all things in hi fi go and listen for yourself and make your own damn mind up. Don't hear a difference, great save your money and move on. Just don't be a sheep/lemming, same for dac's and amps. But the biggest thing i love about this system is the fact everything in this system is assembled by hand by great machinists and craftsmen and woman some very local some not so local (klipsch) and i love that! Attached a few picture below forgive the room its about to be re-modelled (decorated) and hope to show you that in the future. sorry for my bad grammar and spelling in advance, im a designer by trade and don't write much at all

  13. Ha! Have ALWAYS loved Yes. My ex was like 7 months preggo and I literally dragged her into Richfield for this show in 95. Seats in the eighth row but got seated in the 3rd row somehow and she was totally flipping out. Every time they came around I was pointing at her belly and Chris Squire caught it so he started pokin fun at her w/her belly covered or anything she could find. EVERY time they came around he was watching her and grinning. She covered her belly with her arms and just cringed. I do recall hearing, "IF our baby is born deaf I'm going to kill you!" Hahahaha I told her she would be born a rocker! By the time they went around a few times Squire had put the word out and the entire band was watching her everytime they came around. Seen them quite a few times but that tour always makes me smirk! Could only find one ticket who knows where her's went. Sifting thru a stack of stubs I also came across one from a Petty show. Ummm, dunno. He could have signed it but can't remember. Gonna have to research it a bit more. Gettng old sucks! I've got waaaay too much junk lying around! 😂 Nope, not looking like his signature but???

  23. The F35s are tough little planes, but that F-22 is sexy like a Lambo. Mid 90s had an apartment just east of the runway at the Daytona airport. After a weekend show an F-16 flew just enough away from the airport to be over me and Apollo out for a walk, he turned the nose straight up jammed the throttle and we felt the concussion as I saw the fireball get smaller then the sonic boom and couldn't even tell where that jet was then! not my pics! 25. They did here that year must have been something going on with them or the promoter or something. They did a less than 90 minute medly, it stunk. Time prior to that they were good here. Saw them at the Omni above where that cool train station is in Atlanta same tour....they were awesome played all the old stuff each song ten percent longer!

  26. By the time the pork butts were done, I had smelled enough of it and the smoke and ate very little. After it was pulled then cooled I put in the refrigerator, I need to deal with it today. 31.5 pounds before cooking then removing the bones and cooking off the fat, probably 25 pounds of meat left? Connect this on a cordless drill on high and pull 4 butts in about 1 minute, works great. Edit; almost forgot put the butts in a big pot that is tall, or your dogs will be very happy when it flies everywhere when using this.

  29. One of my favorite performers, I had seen Dr. John around 10 times. Loved all the styles in which he dabbled, jazz, funk, rock R&B, it mattered not to Mac, he loved and played it all. Just a happy coincidence I made a track list early last week and the opening track I used was Fire Of Love by Dr. John. A track I wasn't familiar with but happy to have found in my collection. Thanks for all the great musical memories Dr. John.

  34. That's what Brissy will do to ya! Syd? Bit of a drive but.. I'm sure you're local bands held their own! There's a guitar player who's fairly local to me that is unbelievable. This guy TOTALLY shreds it and could play with ANYone yet is quite content just doing gigs in a 100 mile radius. Steve Sweney, blue t-shirt, 29, single and very humble. Self taught and he can truly wail when he wants to. He reminds me a lot of Joe Walsh when he runs with it. Small venues he'll shred it and w/larger venues remains reserved. Check him out in his "reserved" mode at about 2 hours & 41 minutes 5 years ago. Soo much better now here:

  38. I have been holding on to a Marantz Model 1810 that was my dad's, along with a dozen tapes. I believed that my tapes were in my camper when in it was flooded this spring. I even tried to convince the insurance adjuster that I should get something for them (no dice). A couple weeks went by and walked into my son's room to check him and little behold, the collection sitting on his dresser. I was surprised to see them there and when asked, he said they were something he wanted to try, so he grabbed them before we closed up last winter. Looking forward to getting the deck going so he can listen.
