There are so many situations and periods of life this can be applied to. Not just your next love affair. I apply it a new group of friends I made after I graduating from an elementary school that was very tyrannical (think Roger Waters and The Wall).3 points

So sorry to hear that Bill. So many times people make bad choices in life, which hurt family and friends down the road. Hope your wife is holding up well and now that things have been resolved it gets better for you all. Always hard to to lose family no matter what the conditions. My condolences to you and the family.3 points

I use Heresy I's in a 28x18 room with a small sub and they fill it up pretty nice. I use Khorns in a 30x18 room and they are obviously more capable...but I still love what the Heresies do for what they are. 90% of the time, they are enough.3 points

She will like Canberra as it’s a fully designed capital city From buildings and roads to the picturesque views one would have from both - and a man made lake to finish it off Only visited once myself while on a school excursion - and still remember it3 points

Fender now has a '60s Era Mustang bass, short scale, thT looks just like the bass I had. Friend of mine had a Jazz master guitar.2 points

My main system is the Leben CS300 with 1972 Heresies. For me, they fill up my living room (L-shaped, both legs 10m long, 4.5m wide and 2.4m high) but I don't play my music at concert level. The cs300 is 12wpc and should be enough. I have other amps (Denon and a vintage H/K430) that are around 35wpc, and they 'open up' the Heresies even more, so that the neighbours can join in listening 😉I play vinyl most of the time too, btw. I use the iFi Zen Phono (first edition). So I think the heresies will do fine. Also, consider other aspects like size and available space. ps I live in Belgium, and here, of late, used Klipsch Heritage gear, I mean vintage, has become very rare too. Especially the Heresies.2 points

Probably not the crossover, rather a bad connection or failed solder joint. Swapping the midrange was a good trouble shooting technique and eliminated something expensive. BTW, crossovers are not failure prone (usually), but a bad connection can be. I bet with a voltmeter and a soldering pencil, you could have this fixed in 10 minutes and at no cost.1 point

Here's a link to the "Science" behind the sphere, no mention anywhere, though, on what kind of speakers they used so I'm guessing something equivalent to smartphone speakers. If they used regular speakers can you imagine the size of the crossover? Hopefully some of our smarter speaker guys will be able to translate the science behind this into something I can grasp. or gasp. Gonna sign a contract for a new apartment in my hometown where I was born on monday. Studied the local newspaper today . Found an offer which I thought that will meet my demands, called the owner and during our conversation he told me that he wants to see me a.s.a p. because we had a very nice conversation and felt sympathy for each other. So we met. I checked the apartment and it´s quiet nice , not big , but really beautiful. It has everything I need , incl. a fully equipped kitchen , a garden and a fantastique view into the landscape. During the next week I will pick up my most important apartment furnishings from the house into my new apartment. Than I will contact my laywer to start the war of divorce . It´s a start into a new life for me and I´m looking forward to live it . Pretty exciting 😂1 point

I have. Waiting on a response. Concerned the model is discontinued and they might not have it. Do you think they will?1 point

They’re not subs, they’re woofers. You can’t just put a different woofer in a cabinet and get an improvement in sound. Different woofers are designed for specific cabinet volumes, sealed or ported, frequency ranges, etc.1 point

I think the Music Master bass was the budget version of the Mustang bass and had the straight single coil Strat type pickup.1 point

Yea, had the entire right side of the garage sittin in the driveway yesterday. Talk about a hoot? I paced myself well spending time sittin and thunkin HOW I could get it all back in to make it easier to get out and use. Factor in my hoarding? WHY did I have a stack of about 25 empty cardboard lp boxes? Even found a new golf umbrella! I put it by my golf bag, which hasn't moved in 20 years. Crazy! 😂 Rolled out at 11 today totally drained and thought it was Thursday. 😂💪 Just take it easy with that 2nd wifey Bill. No hip thrusts when ur slow dancin. You know how those Bronx wimmen respond. @Tarheel always two-sides to every coin bud. I'm sure that poor dog got his SBD's (silent but deadly's) outta Duke! What's new your way?1 point
