  1. Your surround system looks good, I bet it sounds great.
  2. That woven grasscloth wallpaper is good for the acoustics, functioning as a diffuser.
  3. The CW IIIs had the back two corners of the room behind them vs. the Forte IIIs had one corner and an opening into another room, so a direct comparison was not possible, but the midrange horn on the Forte III is very smooth.
  4. East Indian Rosewood Klipschorn, as seen and heard at CES 2018.
  5. Option #1... ...3-way would probably be the easiest for you, but, Option #2... c ) Perhaps another bass cabinet? Are you thinking another pair of bass cabinets similar to the beautiful set with the K-402s? That would get my vote.
  6. @Bjorn, Forum comments come from many different perspectives. Variety of opinions helps keep things intellectually stimulating for the readers. Your projects are interesting. Please do continue sharing.
  7. Boxx October 8, 1955 - January 4, 2015
  8. That is a great deal, and the Denon probably shares a lot of similarities with the Marantz product line.
  9. My computer seems to display things that other computers don't. Not sure did your show this ? Sorry we mentioned anything that was not a Marantz, just thought he did not want to spend alot and was thinking only about 2 ch and may not have even looked at players like this which plays SCAD's. The nerve or others trying to help with other ideas. My comment was intended to amuse the OP. I probably should has just sent him a PM, and not posted it on the open forum where I offended everyone that was genuinely being helpful with all the excellent recommendations. Sorry.
  10. This picture shows the 2017 Jubilee bass bin has parallel wiring jumpers. Are earlier models different?
  11. Maybe your woofer is damaged, or the wire connection is corroded, or the polarity of one speaker wire pair is crossed up. These are just a few possible conditions that could affect the performance of a forty year old speaker. Does one speaker sound different when you change the balance from left to right? I hope you can get to the point of enjoying your La Scalas.
  12. My computer seems to display things that other computers don't.
  13. What about leaving the switched receptacle connected to the wall switch as is, and adding a wire from that wall switch up to your new can lights, if that is easiest? Or you can disconnect the wire between the switch and the switched wall receptacle, wire nut the ends, convert that wall receptacle to double always hot (replace with receptacle that has not been snipped) and then wire the new ceiling can lights to the existing switch?
  14. I wonder if you have a standing wave condition in your listening room, causing a cancellation of your favorite bass frequencies. It happened to me with my front pair of Klipschorns. I had to make some adjustments to speaker position and move some furniture to fix the problem. As Chris has mention on the forum before, boosting with an equalizer will not correct a null.
  15. So, how do you like your Belles 150A power amp?
  16. The R-112SW doesn't have speaker wire input terminals, correct? So you will need to connect it to your amp/receiver with RCA wires or your WA-2 wireless kit, which might be easier depending on placement in your room.
  17. I would keep those. If you did not know already, the top section of each speaker is held on with two wing nuts. Removing the top makes it much easier to move them into your listening room.
  18. I don't have one to experiment with, but adding a nose piece and some wings to a Belle could be an interesting project.
  19. Can you show us some pictures of the Klipschorns you inherited? Your dearly departed must have thought highly of you to leave these to you. It would be nice if you could move them and enjoy them. Do you have a room that can fit two corner horns?
  20. Thank you for the video that explains why balanced is better than unbalanced, even if the difference is not perceived on home stereos by most listeners, including myself. I like how the video shows the "noise" as a multiplex type signal that may not change the music, but is a form of distortion that could become added to the unbalanced signal.
