RealMarkDeneen
This is my old "art car" at the Doctor George Car show a few years back. The "Retro Metro." It was a lot of fun to build and use as my "desert buggy." 5

JohnJ
An old restaurant in CLT called The Oriental had those big Kois in a pond inside. Had a bridge over it inside the that I just had to walk over every time we went. So cool I remember it and it was before my bro was born so I wasn't even 7 yet and I got chicken chow mein and egg rolls every time. * https://charlotteeats.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-oriental-restaurant-hall-of-fame.html Edited September 4, 2022 by JohnJ * place has an interesting history

So cool I remember it and it was before my bro was born so I wasn't even 7 yet and I got chicken chow mein and egg rolls every time. I was at a trade show in SF and stuck in a large hotel with an extravagent koi pond. I had a small pocket camera I carried when any big camera would be a nuisance. In the evening, under the lobby lights, I snapped a few dozen shots into the pond and I was really taken by the weird artistic captures that were happening due to the overheard lights and angle and reflections. It may look heavily Photoshopped, but it is pretty much what came out of the camera that evening.
JohnJ
Yep it's a cool shot, from what I learned long ago lots of Eastern people there! Just looked up the place I was talking about and found it could have had wise-guys in it's past!
Marvel
Wish I had taken this pic. The boy was six when he took it, and won Wildlife Photographer of the Year. I assume for his age group.
