The Dude
Daughter called yesterday I was wondering what you did with for the 3 weeks you have been gone. I take it you trust her to do the right thing and take care of herself. Good job mom and dad for raising a fine child. :emotion-21:
Moderators dtel Posted April 26, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2015 Just finished Belgin Waffle and Coffee, called room Service and Reorderd the same. Sounds like your doing pretty good, now to try and get that service back home, I wouldn't try calling the wife from the bed to get her to bring you breakfast, that would be pushing your luck I would think.
Feezelbum
Afternoon kids... late start this morning after a late night. Adult beverages, a sleeping wife and the convenience of the interwebs resulted in a new amp purchase around the midnight hour. Since the old system will be gifted to my eldest son, I did a little shopping this morning for a few essentials. In keeping with the theme of the thread, I offer you the following:
RT FAN
Deep in the concrete canyons of Manhattan: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/04/25/police-cage-coyote-in-lower-manhattan/ Lots of coyote sightings in NYC recently as they work their way down from upper Westchester, etc. I live in very southern Manhattan in Battery Park City, across from the World Trade Center. This poor girl was captured right next to my apartment building, on the promenade along the Hudson River, less than 100 yards from the front door. I guess she just followed the riverfront all the way downtown, maybe she was going to hop on the Staten Island Ferry.

GWSmith
Good morning friends.... Thanks Freeze for the cable photo, and a nice table under them !! Stephen, that is quite the story...! Ok, got a vacation day going here...............Music Hall and the Longfellow Music and Movie House (media rooms) are all prepped and ready for my guest Ryan coming here for a music listening experience, what we call M.A.D. (Music Appreciation Day). I have never met Ryan but we have been friends on the Right This Minute forum for a long while now. Plans for today have been over half a year in the making!! He is flying into Boston on business, then renting a car to drive west to my place here. He will bring some new music to crack open and listen to, and I have some selections lined up on the Rega, Teac R to R and some DVD-A and Blu Ray audio discs as well... The Klipschorns are freshly oiled and looking pretty and the gear is up to the task .. I will be taking the usual photos that some of you may have seen many times over in RTM. So, with that, its time to get some breakfast going and the coffee has been ready for a while now. .......have a good day my everyone, more later this afternoon ....Gary

Marvel
well someday i may have a embroidery request for her -- if i ever get around to hiring a graphic designer to take the image i created and make it professional quality. I have someone that takes hand drawn images/ideas, cleans them up and digitizes them for embroidery designs for me. Costs about $20 to have it done. i will be in touch My wife ended up on the Board for the Filipino-American Association of Greater Chattanooga, and we found the only logo was the low resolution one shown below. No one had anything better in their files. I redid it and made a large Photoshop file that I can make good quality smaller ones from. A little time and one can do wonders. The old one was rather embarrassing. Bruce

I’m disappointed with my adobe illustrator skills--years ago worked with CorelDraw; which i think is a much easier program. I need this logo done and have just lost interest in fighting adobe. Someone recommended a website called odesk.com -- freelance folks that seem to work for cheap.
Moderators dtel Posted April 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 28, 2015 So my wife tells me Saturday night she has a surprise for me Sunday but we don't have to go far, bring the camera. I had no idea what it could be, but said OK. Well Saturday she was on the phone talking with her cousin, he lives about 3 miles from us. Her cousin flies and has own planes and asked if we wanted to go for a ride. YES I am willing but was surprised my wife was considering this because her knees start to shake if she goes up to the third step on a ladder, she does not like heights. She was willing, she has flown but it's been probably 25 years since we have. I had no idea what was going to happen until we pulled up at his house. He has a hanger and a landing strip on his property, I was thinking we were going to meet him and drive to the local airport but no. I have to say this is very cool, I had no idea he had a setup like this on his property it was amazing. This is a pic of the hanger, 2 of the planes are not his, the little experimental plane (back right, white with a little blue) and the red one on the left.
BigStewMan
I had to go up in a small plane once looking for an offshore oil spill. After cruising around a while, the pilot says “i don’t see any oil yet--do you?” I said, “i’m not looking for an oil spill--i’m watching for other planes." he said that we were totally safe. since i’m writing this today--i guess he was right. i did fall out of the plane; but, since it looked like rain, i had brought an umbrella--it came in handy and the landing was rather smooth considering. a friend of mine is a pilot for a major airline--she said that she feels safer in a small plane. Moderators dtel Posted April 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 28, 2015 So since Christy is a little nervous about this her cousin is going to taker in a Cessna (pic; white with stripes) and if she changes her mind they can come back. He tells me his friend was going to fly me in another plane which is a little more sporty it's red and a little white and only has a 2 seats.
