Ceptorman
I saw gasoline for 2.82 today on the south side of Indy. It was 3.44 just three days ago. My truck has a 34 gallon fuel tank, so 62 cents per gallon savings makes a huge difference.
The History Kid
Yeah...it just fell to $2.93 in eastern Iowa. Was a pleasant surprise to see. Hopefully it keeps going that direction.

LarryC
I wonder if this could have anything to do with it, long-term? http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/08/business/energy-environment/reversing-the-flow-of-oil-.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&version=Moth-Visible&module=inside-nyt-region®ion=inside-nyt-region&WT.nav=inside-nyt-region&_r=
oldtimer
Larry I mentioned this coming in a post on this forum around a year or two ago. I really can't remember when. I also mentioned a stronger dollar would be a side effect and someone responded something like, oh yeah i'd like to see that. Whoever that was I hope you are glad to see it. The trend will continue as technology for shipping NG is enabled and effected.

wvu80
It's $3.39 in sunny West Virginia. I think our gasoline tax will keep it from getting much lower. Pic is the New River Gorge. Edited October 8, 2014 by wvu80

wvu80
That pic was taken (not by me) where there is a long bridge across those mountains. Idiots used to sky dive off it all the time, so to deal with that the state now endorsed one day per year where you can legally do that; Bridge Day. http://officialbridgeday.com/ It's on Oct 17th, 2014, so about 10 days from now. The river you can see is the New River, where they have a ton of white water rafting, and there is a new Boy Scout National Reservation in that area which draws about 10,000 Scouts from all over the country. That bridge is in the middle of nowhere, but what a view! Edited October 9, 2014 by wvu80
