Grizzog
We all know acoustic paneling and treatments are real and work when done properly. I cannot, however, figure out how a company lives with itself when proposing picture frames and furniture pads as real treatments. ...interesting how they don't explain what or how these panels and dots do the magical things they do... http://www.synergisticresearch.com/new-uef-acoustic-panels-and-uef-acoustic-dots/

Moderators dtel Posted April 16, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 16, 2016 There not telling the truth, it's really all about the gold looking Buddha statue in the background, they can completely change the sound.
Rivervalleymgb
Not only that, the statue gives off the sacred sound! OOOOMMMMHHHH. Makes it all sound better! (no insult to Buddhists, I meditate myself) I actually have the same statue in my sound room, so it must help... Grizzog
I'm going to Home Depot to buy 100 round furniture pads. Will my sound be holographic?

wvu80
There not telling the truth, it's really all about the gold looking Buddha statue in the background, they can completely change the sound. I've read your post three times and every time I read "good looking Buddha." Am I looking for love in all the wong places? +++ Back to the subject: The next time I am doing critical listening to harmonica with goofy vocals and think "dam, needs more bass" I am definitely going to give the magic dots a try.
mike stehr
...interesting how they don't explain what or how these panels and dots do the magical things they do... Because if they explained it's a placebo effect like a sugar pill, nobody would ever buy into it.
paul79
The 80's called... They want their sweater back. Notice the tapestry in the woven texture! WTF? Edited April 16, 2016 by paul79
twk123
The dots are SO good they actually mitigate the fact that Bob has a window at the left primary refection point and doesnt even bother to get drapes to dampen it.
soundbound
My dot (.) makes this sentence look clearer. Now, look at this sentence without my dot You can clearly see the difference between the two with my doted sentence being clearer and more of my dots make for even clearer post........ Moderators dtel Posted April 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2016 I've read your post three times and every time I read "good looking Buddha." Am I looking for love in all the wong places? I would bet money good looking buddah would improve any sounds, It's true, every time I see good looking buddah I get in a better mood and that improves listening. And yes you may be looking in the wong places, but it doesn't matter were you find it really.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2016 Wow, I had a black box from high school that I kept all of my girlfriend's notes in. Too bad my wife threw it away when we got married. Now I have to spend $2000 to get another one.
Dr Morbius
When I got married my wife threw out my Disney poster with Disney characters all getting it on. (obviously not sanctioned by Disney). Must be 30 years ago. Wonder if it's worth anything now?
richieb
Chasing the "dot" theory I scurried down to the grocery store for some ice cream Dippin Dots. Talkin' about bringing the KHorns to a whole new level. Scooping a mouthful of dots was, well, the height of KHorn nirvana. Which slowly slipped away as they melted then back to crappy, ordinary KHorns. It's Dippin Dots or nothing in my listening room. Talk about brain freeze!
garyrc
I'm thinking of a quote misattributed to P. T. Barnum.
JJkizak
They probably should have mentioned the condition of the air such as humidity and methane contamination, dust particulate, house insulation, paint thickness on the walls, dirt on the floors, air pressure, gravitational lines of force, carpenter bee noise, and dog and cat hair contamination. Moderators dtel Posted April 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2016 Personally i use clean unfolded clothes piled on a bench/seat on a sidewall of the living room, seems to work great.
Grizzog
Ok, I've covered myself in furniture pads. The sound feels more itchy.
